Charleston arxhetexgv - Excellent tour. Dennis is passionate about what he does. We learned a lot & enjoyed it all! We did not tour the Slave market or dungeon which might be of interest to some first time visitors to Charleston.

Not the tour we wanted. - This tour was not what we expected which is likely why we were disappointed. It felt like a boring version of South Carolina history class. The historic figures mentioned were not names we recognized since we aren’t from South Carolina. It just wasn’t interesting or fun. We wanted the alley tour (which was full). Our guide was kind of snarky and made us not feel very welcome. He started the tour talking about fines for blocking the sidewalk. He also openly asked for a tip before the tour even started. When on the tour he pointed out an enforcement officer vehicle and said they were watching us to see if he could get fined. As visitors, it makes me wonder if Charleston actually wants tourist business or not? We certainly did not feel very welcome on this tour.
