You will also hear all the historical information about the monuments from the audio guide system. Furthermore you will visit from west, Nea Chora with the waterfront traditional taverns till the exterior of the east Venetian walls, near the sandy beach, Kum Kapi area (in the old days a village of poor North African slaves who lived in tents and huts and did all the harsh jobs in the portside). This region was called in Turkish Kum Kapisi (Gate of the Sand) from the Venetian gate which is still preserved in our days. Today kum Kapi is one of the most developed districts of the city which gathers thousands of visitors every summer who come to enjoy the view to the sea and the numerous high quality cafeterias and restaurants. Some of the monuments you will see are:

This comprehensive tour encompasses the entirety of the Old City and Harbour, stretching from the west side to the east. It includes all notable locations within the Old City, the Venetian harbour, Splantzia district, and Nea Chora in the west, extending to the exterior of the eastern Venetian walls near the sandy Kum Kapi beach.
The tour is complemented with an informative audio guide system that offers historical facts about all monuments, along with valuable insights provided by the tour leader.

We recommand 100% this activity!! SO MUCH FUN!! - This activity was so much fun! We visited the steets of Old Chania that is absolutely charming and a must see. We also saw the port. Our guide was friendly and very nice. The activity lasted 2 hours and we enjoyed every minute of it!! We recommand for sure!!

Segway in Chania - What a way to see the Old City and Harbor - It was a great experience for us. We've never been on a Segway. It took a few mins to understand the mechanics and these are great machines. Our tour guide, Betsy was great. She took us to the back roads to view the amazing views and sites. We were lucky... it was just us and early in the morning. I bet it could be more challenging during high tourist season as there are more people in the streets. We had a terrific time and the port/old city were beautiful. Betsy - Thanks for taking the pictures and making our tour memorable. We did a Segway tour... :)

Fun tour on a Segway - The tour guide Betty was fantastic.
She did a great job teaching us how to use the Segway. The Segway is a great way to zip around Chanda to see all the sights. We passed by many who were struggling walking uphill in the heat while we rolled by with no effort

Fantastic Segway experience in Old Chania Town - We travel extensively around the world and regardless of where we end up, one thing that we generally always do is look for a great small business that offers up Segway tours. It is an excellent way to see a lot of the local atmosphere, scenery, history and most importantly areas that you want to come back to and explore further at a later time - including some great local restaurants, cafes, watering holes, etc.
Our small group tour with Chania Segway Tours did NOT disappoint. We had an excellent experience for a half-day tour and we were able to cover a very large area of old Chania Town and the Harbour Front. So many great places, and our guide was fantastic at telling us the history of this wonderful island.
If you are looking for something different to do, then this is a MUST-DO. Go online, and book it, you won't regret the experience.

Nice way to have a good first impression! - we had a segway guidetour for 2h in chania. Our guide was very nice and pro. We had earsets with more information bout hirstory an buildings in the languages we wanted. with the segway we could vissit the little streets in the old town, the outside of the village and the habor. on food it would have taken us much longer. realy nice. I can certainly recommend!

Great Tour - We had a great tour! Our guide was really great. Even with an initial insecurity of one of our group members, he was always empathetic and endeavored. Something different, fun and enjoyable - We did the 2 hour tour of the old city and the harbour. My first time using a Segway and a 5 minute lesson before the tour started and I was all set! A very enjoyable 2 hours, as using the Segway was fun! Of course we also got to see the (beautiful) city but I must admit I was enjoying the Segway more than the brief audio snippets of history that were played over the earpiece!

Great Fun and Tour - Being in on a segway was a fun way to explore around Chania Old City & Venetian Old Harbour etc.
After a few mins brief training - we we were off - and as a first-timer it was easy to do.
With the added bonus of beautiful weather we took advantage and did some shopping and alfresco lunch afterwords.
We would certainly do it again - especially as Betsy had taken some pics and did a little filming. That was great to look back and see.

Very Disappointed - We were on a cruise ship and booked this excursion. It was very difficult to find the location of the Segway tour. We were late, which was my fault. We asked to be put on another later tour and we were told, yes we could do that, however we would have to pay again. They had room on later tours that day, but would only allow us to join if we paid again. This is very poor business. We were very sad to have missed the tour.
