On this tour you will discover the beautiful Old City of Chania, and explore the Old Venetian Port. You will visit the Splantzia area which was the Turkish district of Chania
- the central gathering place for the Turkish population and the exterior of the east Venetian walls, Kum Kapi area (a village of poor North African slaves used to live there in the old days) .This region was called in Turkish Kum Kapisi (Gate of the Sand) from the Venetian gate which is still preserved in our days. Today “Kum Kapi” is a developed district of the city which gathers thousands of visitors every summer who come to enjoy the view to the sea and the numerous cafeterias and restaurants.Historical information will be also available through the audio guide system.
The monuments you will see are: The Municipal Market of Chania, The Temple of Aghioi Anargyroi, The Temple of Aghia Ekaterini, The Dominican Temple of Aghios Nikolaos - Hiougkar Tzamisi (the Mosque of ‘Igemonas’), Splantzia, The Gate and Rampart Sabbionara, Koum Kapi,The Venetian Walls,The Venetian “Neoria”, The Grand Arsenal,The Byzantine Wall,Giali Tzamisi,The Jewish Synagogue,The Egyptian Lighthouse, The Navy Museum, The “Firka” Fortress.

Great activity for teenager - A fun way to tour Chania with an easily bored teenager. The guide was very patient as I got used to the Segway. We stopped at some great locations and loads of photos taken which were all sent via email to keep.

Absolutely recommended! - We do Segway tours in our holidays whereever they are offered. Illuminated Chania in the evening offered the most beautyful scenery to us which we have experienced yet. Absolutely recommended!

A tentative tour turned into Segway Fun - I have to admit, I didn't want to take the tour. My traveling buddy did. I felt like it would be too much for me to navigate the people in the streets of Chania and a new vehicle. However, it turned out to a be an experience I'm glad I had. I quickly got the hang of the Segway and felt very safe with our guide, who paused on downhills and tight corners to assure we managed well. Highly recommend giving it a try. You won't regret it.

Day is good but night is better - I had nearly a decade to visit Crete. As a family guy now, this time I choose to avoid the summer crowd and have an Easter view of the island. In Chania, we had the chance to stroll the wonderful city with this funny way. Definitely a must for fun and touring!

Loved it - Will we had angel for our guide and indeed he was our guardian angel in this packed crowded night tour . The kids loved it and it was beautiful tour of the old city the port and surrounding area. The easiest way to see and the fastest one. Every thing we saw by night we checked the next day even without having a map. Highly recommended for families with teenagers
