The first destination is Theodorou Island, a sanctuary for the endangered wild Cretan goat known as “agrími” or more commonly, “kri-kri.” This uninhabited island is also a designated Natura 2000 protected area.
After circumnavigating the island, the journey continues to the small island of Lazaretta, situated near the shore of Néa Chóra. Lazaretta provides excellent snorkeling opportunities in the rock pools near its small, sandy beaches.
With a bit of luck, visitors might even spot an octopus nearby!
The final stop is Macherida Bay, where guests can enjoy a swim at the beautiful, easily accessible sandy beach and admire the breathtaking views of the White Mountains (Lefka Ori) before returning to Chania harbor.
