Very worthwhile trip! - Banana was probably the best tour guide we have ever had during our month spent in Thailand! He was the kindest, sweetest guy who had so many interesting facts about every temple we went to see. He really made this trip an unforgettable experience and I cannot thank him enough! Would definitely recommend this tour, was really interesting to get a glimpse of monk life and see some hidden temples that not many tourists actually go and see. It really makes a difference when you have a tour guide who really knows his facts and we learnt so much from him! 10/10 recommend

🌞 - Our guide was Nick and I really enjoyed the tour! Doi Suthep is a special place and that sunrise on the mountain left the warmest memories from my last day of the Thailand trip. The tour was very well organized, and Nick as guide is very talented so I sincerely recommend this trip:)

Worth it! - We did the Sunrise Temple tour and it was absolutely worth waking up early. Nick is a terrific tour guide. He is very knowledgeable, funny and overall has a great personality. He also knew the best spots for beautiful pictures. I'm so happy we decided to do this tour!

Perfect for Jet lag individuals - Everything about the trip was smooth, including the pick up and drop off. Honey was our tour guide. She was very nice and provided good information on the sights we were seeing. We loved that we went at sunrise and got to see the sun come up! Would recommend this to others.

Amazing tour - The tour was amazing. Though we did not get full view of the sunrise due to the thick cloud, our tour guide, Tib , was very polite and enthusiastic. She shared the monks routine and also teach the guest of flower offering.

Worth the visit to see Doi Suthep, Wat Pha Lat, and Wat Umong. - I wanted to see some of the famous Chiang Mai temples especially Doi Suthep and Wat Pha Lat, but did not want to dedicate a full day. This trip was perfect to see Doi Suthep, Wat Pha Lat, and Wat Umong in an efficient manner without feeling rushed. I did a private tour, which I’m glad I did so that I could go at my own pace. Doi Suthep is a must-see in Chiang Mai. It was peaceful to watch the sunrise over Chiang Mai from this complex. My favorite temple was actually Wat Pha Lat- it features a stunning, beautiful landscape. Wat Pha Lat was spectacular to see and definitely worth visiting. It was easy to get to the temples having a guide drive me there directly. Doi Suthep is a bit of a drive outside the city, and Wat Pha Lat is similarly a bit outside the city center (you can do the monks trail hike to Wat Pha Lat, but I was told the hike can take a few hours and I preferred going more directly to save on time). Having direct transport to each of them was worth the trip. My guide was friendly, professional, and accomodating throughout the journey. Overall, I am glad I did this half-day tour to see Chiang Mai’s must-see temples.

Good Tour But Be Aware of the Pickup Point if You Are Not Staying Within the Old Town Area - Overall, this was a very good tour. The tour guide was friendly and had a very good knowledge of the temples and the history behind all of them. She will walk you through each site and inform you what to expect and what to do next (e.g., how to make an offering when the monks come out in the morning). The only con is that the guide had a heavy accent, and it was hard to understand her at times. The only negative about this tour has nothing to do with the guide or the itinerary but the last-minute change in pickup location. When I signed up, it gave me a choice to pick where I wanted to be picked up (at a hotel near where I was staying), but the night before, the confirmation told me to meet at the McDonald's 20 minutes drive from where I was staying. I contacted support, and they basically blew me off and just kept saying this is where I needed to go. If they cannot pick me up at that location, they should not have offered it as a choice.

A good exercise, the best adventure - It was great as a photographer because I got to shoot terrific photos in the countryside that I couldn’t have done otherwise. Loved it. A full day’s worth of fun.

Hands off this provider - Tourguru neither sent the promised info email the night before nor picked us up at the hotel at 5:00 a.m. We waited an hour for the guide and no one came. Tourguru left an American phone number on the confirmation and a Thai phone number in the hotel details and could not be reached by phone. There was no response to messages either. It was just annoying, we were looking forward to the tour and got up at 4 a.m. for nothing. Cannot recommend this tour with Tourguru.
