Tour Highlights: The Long Neck Hill Tribe and the White Temple - It was definitely a very long day. There was much to see and there was ALOT of driving. That said, the sites we saw were amazing. Hot springs where the local women boil their eggs in handmade baskets. The Long Neck Hill Tribe with beautiful women and equally beautiful textiles. And, of course, the White Temple--talk about memorable. We also had a nice lunch. Oh yeah, and we took a boat ride into the Golden Triangle where the rivers of Myanmar, Laos and Thailand converge. Once the center of the opium trade, now the center of outstanding coffee. Some of the best I've every had. As interesting as the history of this destination is, I could have done without the riverboat ride. Not much to see along the shores. Cutting this out would have helped cut down on the overall length of the tour. Overall, I felt rushed with limited time at each destination.

Tourist trap! - It was a very very very long day going from one tourist trap to another. This day takes about 15 hours and you spend about 10 of this in a minivan. When you stop they drop you off in every possible market where you can buy all the usual stuff you can buy everywhere. There is nothing authentic about anything during this day. The Longneck tribe was the most ridiculous tourist trap I have ever seen. Sitting in there shops waiting for you to buy stuff...
