In Phuket alone, there are 29 Buddhist temples spread around the island. Wat Chalong has been extending a warm welcome to visitors for over a century. Locals come to pray and Westerners come to learn something about Buddhism. The temple is open from seven in the morning to five in the afternoon.

A very enjoyable experience and one I will remember for a long time. - The tour guide and driver both made my tour one to be remembered. Their care and attention to an elderly woman on her own was really appreciated. There was plenty of time to see each attraction and history was explained in great detail.

I am very glad for this experience - Mr Don (Udon) was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. He made the whole tour very interesting and fun and also talked a little about Thai life. The sights were great to see, the big Buddha of course but also the old villa and the old farm and the monastery.
