A fantastic day on a beautiful island! - We had an absolutely unforgettable experience on our first trip to Kefalonia. We thoroughly enjoyed this tour with our guide Ouan. He was friendly and knowledgeable about the area. He made helpful suggestions that allowed us to make the most of our time on the island. We loved visiting Dragarati Cave and Myrtos Beach, both of which were unlike anything we have ever seen. We would highly recommend this tour and this tour company to everyone and anyone!

A fabulous day spent on a beautiful island! - We had an unforgettable day on our tour in Kelafonia with our tour driver Ouan. He was friendly and knowledgeable about the area. He made helpful suggestions for our day and time constraints. It was a pleasure spending time with him. The spots he brought us to, Drogarati Cave and Myrtos Beach, were absolutely stunning and so much fun for our family of five. Adults and children enjoyed the day more than anything else we have done on our cruise thus far. We would highly recommend this tour to others.

Private family tour of Kefalonia - Dionisi was an excellent tour guide. He showed us around to Kefalonias most beautiful places and educated us on the history of the island. He was very easy going and made sure we got to see everything we wanted to. Highly recommend booking a private tour with him!

Sights great and driver brilliant. - Thank you George. We had a great time and you adapted to save us queues at the lake. What a day kids and adults loved it and George went out of his way to inform and entertain us. Loved it.

Lovely day - highly recommended - Harris was an excellent tour guide, informative but also “chill” so we could enjoy a relaxing day. Kephonia is a beautiful island with so many breathtaking views. Although it was a little cold we were able to dip our toes in the Ionian Sea at Myrtos Beaxh. Now that’s a beautiful beach, but be sore to bring your aqua shoes because it’s very rocky. It was a lovely experience and we highly recommend it.

Beach is worth the trip! - Myrtos beach was stunning and a must see. We had some rough experiences with a thunderstorm that limited our beach trip to maybe 30 minutes, and bad timing with a ridiculous line of people from 5 full size buses arriving at Melissani Cave before us, causing a 90 minute wait, so we skipped that experience. George was a good guide and made the best of it. He recommended a great place for lunch while we rode out the thunderstorm. So the 4 stars doesn’t reflect on the tour, guide, or weather (uncontrollable), as much as the overcrowding of tourists causing the delays. But I also recognize I was a cruise tourist contributing to those delays. Still worth it though, and no regrets. The private experience was better than a full size bus, since George catered specifically to us. Just a warning to others to expect timing issues.

Best way to see the caves and Myrtos Beach - We booked a private half day tour as some tours were all day long and busy. The knowledgeable (and good-looking!) Spiros collected us from our hotel in his air conditioned car. His English was impeccable and he was eager to inform us about his home island of Kefalonia and was equally interested in the UK and asked us questions. Our first stop was the Drogarati Cave which was an incredible sight, a natural cathedral as it were (see my review of Trip Advisor). Spiros was happy to let us take our time whilst he waited in the well equipped cafe on site. Next up was a drive to the famous blue waters of Melissani. This is expensive for what you get, 10€ for what is effectively a 15-20 minute boat trip in a water filled cave. Very beautiful but a bit of a tourist trap. Think of a Greek version of the Venetian gondoliers, which aren't cheap either. We were fortunate as we arrived just before lunchtime so the queue was minimal but Spiros informed us that at the height of the tourist season, you can expect to wait up to an hour in the blazing sun, with no shelter provided, for the 15 minute boat ride. Spiros was rather scathing that despite the clearly large takings from the tourists for the boat trip and the very large gift shop , the people who ran and profited handsomely did not provide shade or water for the daily influx of visitors. This annoyed him as proud Greek trying to make a living providing trips for foreign visitors.
Next up was the famous white beach and azure sea of Myrtos. Spiros was able to drive down the narrow twisting road to the beach itself and was happy to wait for as long as we wanted but was again annoyed that, despite the season being open, the facilities such as toilets, beach bar and the beds & parasols weren't open yet, and he felt he was letting us down by us not getting the full beach experience.( see my Myrtos review on TA). Spiros then took us he long way back to our hotel over the central mountain raad and what a spectacular drive it turned out to be. He was really helpful and friendly and full of local knowledge about the best tavernas or restaurants.
I would happily recommend this tour as you get to see the island and the above mentioned sights with an excellent guide. Ask for Spiros when you book.
