Wonderful tour - We had a wonderful tour with our guide, Juan Corona! From the beginning, on the ride to the ruins Juan gave us some history and facts of the towns on the way. Once we got to the ruins you could tell that he was not only very knowledgeable but genuinely seemed to have a passion for history. Him and his team were very kind and even brought refreshments 1/2 way through with was nice considering how hot it was!

Great excursion - My family and I had a great time in this excursion. Finding the meeting point beyond the port was initially worrisome, until a nice local guided us to find the actual meeting point. That’s where we met our guide Adan and driver Hasan. Adan was very fun and a local with tons of knowledge. He filled us in on local Costa Maya history while Hasan drove very carefully in an air conditioned sprinter van. They had a fully stocked cooler with waters, Gatorade, beer and even Mexican snacks they made sure to offer to us throughout the trip. Once at the ruins, an archeological guide named Carlos took us through the ruins. Carlos was amazing and had so much Mayan history. He made sure to answer every question the group had and let us stop for photos. And we saw monkeys! Since we were a smaller group, it was so much more relaxed than the massive cruise excursion groups we saw. After the ruins (the highlight) and on the ride back to port, we stopped at a local fruit stand and had the most incredible pineapple, and then to a fresh salsa and habanero stand. We were offered to go to the local lighthouse for pictures, but unfortunately there was a lot of seaweed and the group opted out of that stop, but it was no problem because it was still a packed 4 hour excursion. Would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone wanting to get an authentic view of the island!

Fun at the Ruins of Chacchoben - We really enjoyed our excursion Chacchoben. Our tour guide (Adan) and driver (Hasan) to and from the ruins were fun and informative. Carlos, the guide at the ruins of Chacchoban was excellent

Private tour sooooo worth it!!!! - We had a wonderful experience starting with Hassan who was waiting for us with a sign at the port exit. We hopped on a very clean van and met Adan Adan shared very interesting information about the village and its history. He shared with us the life of its inhabitants and shared personal stories and photos of his life. He was an amazing guide and very generous with us. He truly loves his village and its people. We the met Carlos, which acted à our guide at Chacchoben site. He was very funny, very knowledgeable and very generous sharing information about the Mayan culture and history. We the then stopped at a fruit stand and an habaneros sauce shop and we were pleased with different products that we were able to taste. We bought some great products. We could not say enough how much we enjoyed our experience and we felt privileged to have this private tour (while comparing with other large groups on big bus with no personalized tours) We fully recommend!! We were with our two young child and they loved the tour!

Great tour for all ages - A great tour! Our family of 10 (ages 8-79) were driven by Julio and had Leo as our guide. Both were fantastic. Leo shared so much about Mayan history and culture and it was amazing to be in a small group when other tours were easily 25-50 people. Three boats were in port this day, but we still felt like our experience was personal and not at all rushed. If you are looking for a ruins tour, do this this!

Nothing but a great experience - I went on this excursion through royal carribean while we were docked at costa maya. We had Genesis as a tour guide and he was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and personable. The views and trails were incredible. I would advise anyone to give it a shot if you’re interested!

We had a wonderful tour!!... - We had a wonderful tour!! Leo our guide was the best! He explained what we were going to see and then explained everything we were seeing at Chacchoben Mayan Ruins. On the way back to the port he even stopped and bought us fresh pineapple from a roadside stand. Julio was a great driver too!! We would definitely recommend this tour! They were also easy to find at port.

LOng travel, nice to see... - LOng travel, nice to see Mayan ruins. take early trip so you can spend more time at port. Nice area at port to eart, swim and enjoy

Some Improvements needed - We had an excellent and attentive driver but his knowledge about Chacchoben ruins was limited. I encourage this company to ask their tour guides to better prepare with most important topics about these ruins and carry some handout materials to visualize geographical and historical information.
