Explore Mount Etna on tour from Catania! You will be introduced to the landscapes and geology of the Volcano from our naturalistic and passionate guide.
Following a hiking route up to 2000 meters, you will have the chance to admire forests, craters, lava formations, and scenic views of the mountain.
You will visit a volcanic cave using the equipment…
Explore Mount Etna on tour from Catania! You will be introduced to the landscapes and geology of the Volcano from our naturalistic and passionate guide.
Following a hiking route up to 2000 meters, you will have the chance to admire forests, craters, lava formations, and scenic views of the mountain.
You will visit a volcanic cave using the equipment provided from us (helmets and torches).
After the trekking, you will stop at a nice Chalet, where you will enjoy a rustic lunch made with local products (starter and first course) together with a good glass of  Sicilian red wine. It is possible to arrange, upon request, a suitable dish to vegetarians and coeliacs.
Then we will move to the amazing Alcantara River Gorges to discover more of Sicily’s natural beauty.
The tour is in Italian and English. Upon request also in Spanish and French.
- Minimum numbers apply. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there is not enough passengers to meet requirements. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative or full refund
- English and Italian guide are always available, French and Spanish are subject to availability. Upon booking, we will confirm you if the language required is available.
- Trekking shoes are mandatory. We can provide trekking shoes and jackets for free if requested at the time of booking.
- Children must be accompanied by an adult

Great tour with amazing guide Mirko! - We had a wonderful time with our guide Mirko – super friendly and very knowledgeable. The whole trip was well organized, the views were stunning, and the info he shared made it even better.
Lunch and wine were delicious and plentiful. The timing at each stop was just right – no rush, no boredom. Highly recommended!

Etna north and gorges of Alcantara. - A perfect tour to discover the fantastic nature of Mount Etna. Our guide Andrea was very competent and good. He gave some explanations about Etna.
During the first part of the day we visited the Park of Etna Nord and in the second part Park of Alcantara Gorges. Beautiful experience in the cold river. We were lucky that there were not many tourists.
Absolutely recommend doing this tour!

Inoubliable - Very nice experience. We were accompanied by a guide who was superb with us. He helped us along the way, watered us with information and in addition he was very friendly. I highly recommend this agency. Thank you to the whole Etna Experience team and our host Elisa who advised us.

A tour that you shouldn’t miss! - Hands up and big thank you to Emiliano our tour guide for his valuable information while touring! He was kindly looking after us all the way! I wouldn’t think anyone would have given us information like he did! the programme was amazing and lunch along with wine tasting was fantastic! Highly recommended

Awesome! - We did the Mt. Etna and Alcantara tour. Our guides were fantastic! They were very knowledgeable and made sure we were safe but a little adventurous.
Our ship was late docking and we still had the opportunity to complete the whole tour. Fabulous! And they even kept the teens entertained!

Great day on Mt Etna - We had a great time hiking Mount Etna with our amazing, knowledgeable tour guide Andrea!!! The hike was relatively short and accessible for all athletic abilities while also providing breathtaking views. The swim included in this tour was very unique and was the highlight of our day!! We certainly recommend this tour to others, and above all recommend our fantastic tour guide Andrea. He was very engaged, friendly, and filled with many fun facts about the biology of extreme environments and Italian culture more generally. He gave us first hand exposure to Sicilian Culture. We learned SO much from him and enjoyed the individualized experience he provided.

Passionate tour guide - Mainly wanted to give a five-star review for our tour guide Giovanni, who’s very passionate, knowledgeable and friendly — Learnt a lot about Mt Etna and Sicily from him! The tour itself was decent. It was a rainy day so we didn’t get any stunning views at the craters, but overall satisfied with the tour.

Reliable tour company with awesome guide - I enjoyed the tour very much. Marco was an exceptional guide. He's very knowledgeable, engaging and enthusiastic. He made the whole trip very insightful and interesting. One point to note is that I had a discussion of the various tour companies with my hostel dorm mates and a number of them had negative experience (last minute cancellation etc) with other companies. Etna Experience seems to be one of the more reliable ones. I deducted a point because I initially wanted to do the easy summit tour but was told there wasn't enough participants and I was asked to sign up for this Etna wine Alcantara tour instead while waiting to see if the summit tour becomes available. There was no update on that. Although this Etna wine Alcantara tour is perfectly fine and highly recommended if you want an easier day with more variety, what I really wanted is more hiking and less excursion. Perhaps the company can do more to allow people to choose the summit tour instead (wouldn't have minded paying a bit more for it).
