Don't miss Castelbuono - Fantastic tour to difficult to reach places that are true gems. The wine tour and tasting in the beautiful abbazia was very professional and enjoyable. Castelbuono was a fairytale dream with the added bonus of the Fiasconaro tasting. Valeria our guide was fantastic, warm, friendly and fun and informative. Mille grazie. Highly recommend.

Even in a very large... - Even in a very large group it was very nice and perfect to get an overview over the region and the wines. Very nice, uncomplicated and sympathetic guide! Very good experience for a „half-day“ trip!

Castelbuono is a must see - Castelbuono was a great experience. The town itself is so cute and located in the mountains in the national park. I wouldn't have thought to come up there if it wasn't for the tour. Highly recommend. The tour guides are knowledgeable and personable and the sights are breath taking.

Excellent trip and very good value. - The coach trip up through the mountains was very scenic, Esther our guide gave a very intetesting commentary. The wine tour was very informative and the wines and aperitifs were delicious. Castelbuono is very pretty and in general we found the tour extremely good value for money. We would highly recommend.

GREAT LOCAL ACTIVITY - Beautiful place and great wines ! My friend and I really enjoyed this afternoon. The pick up and drop off in Cefalu were included which was very convenient.

Lovely, but quite a big group - Great tour, slightly rushed and group was way over 15 people so felt a little like being in a seminar but wine was fab, and Castelbuono was gorgeous.

A very nice experience. I... - A very nice experience. I enjoyed the tour of the winery and the tastings. They paired the wines with some local cheeses, salami and olives. Castelbuono was beautiful and the views were lovely.

Castelbouno - we did this tour just to go to Castelbouno, the winery was a nice addition. Castelbuono is the home to the maker of the best panettone in all of Italy. We enjoyed the free samples & had only seen Castelbuono at night, 6 years ago. It was lovely to see it in the daylight, along with all the lovely residents. One huge concern...our original bus had a problem with the speaker so it was changed out nearby. We noticed that the tires on this bus were BALD, no treads! These buses go up high on narrow mountain roads, this is crazy & dangerous! Fortunately, our new bus had slightly better tires, but we were glad for the speaker glitch.

Interesting trip but group size too big - This trip is clearly sold stating a maximum group size of 15. The actual group size was well over 40, which is not what we would expect, and contrary to the booking information. The guide was very good, and the wine tasting and visit to Castelbuono were both interesting and to be recommended. But the tour around the winery, whilst interesting, was drawn out due to the large group size and the need to say everything in both English and French. It was therefore not really very easy to engage with the guide or ask questions, and I therefore didn’t feel like we came away with as good an understanding of the processes as we should have done. A shame because it marred what should have been an excellent trip. I also suspect that the group size resulted in less time at Castelbouno than should have been allowed. Viator should be careful how this trip is marketed !

Disappointing tour guide - not like Roberta who does the dinner in mountains day out - I was really looking forward to this tour and the wind tasting itself was very nice although they had miscommunicated the number of us on the tour which meant we had to wait about 15 minutes for a table to be set for us and extra wine glasses and the plates of food to be ready. It was however the lackluster tour guide that made this a disappointing trip - she told us the history on the way in the coach but made no effort to get to know us and conducted all of this narration in a monotone voice and without looking at us at all! If I compare this tour guide to the wonderful Roberta who oversaw the dinner in the mountains they are really night and day - Roberta's passion and energy were simply contagious whereas this lady seemed bored and made the tour disappointing when a tour guide's role is to energize and inspire those she is guiding.
