- Algar de Benagil - A 10-minute walk brings us to the highly anticipated Algar de Benagil.
- Praia da Marinha - After a 35-minute walk, we finally arrive at our final destination, Marinha beach. We spend about 15-20 minutes here for exploration and photos. This beautiful beach is one of the most acclaimed worldwide, so don’t miss it. Along the way, we pass beautiful enclosures and rock formations.
Afterwards, our included transfer will take us back to Centeanes Beach.

It’s not that easy - This route starts in Vale Centianes on 12 kms without forgetting the return🥹 to Praia da Marinha, forget about strollers, dogs, young children because in some places it is a bit complicated, but do not forget 1 or 2 bottles of water and also enough to snack😉.
If you are dizzy, it is still doable, do not get too close to the cliffs and everything will be fine🙏🏻.
The whole route is marked so it is impossible to get lost.
Also take cash, it can be used in some places for a drink or a snack.
We did it once and I don’t think I’m going to repeat the experience despite the beautiful scenery but... it’s exhausting.

Great hike. Migel was... - Great hike. Migel was amazing and very attentive to all of us. When 2 in our group wanted to stop after 1/2, he made it happen and continued with the rest.

Une magnifique expérience à faire ! - Hiking the Seven Hanging Valleys Trail isn’t just a walk – it’s an unforgettable journey along Portugal’s most iconic coastline. Thanks to an incredible local guide, we didn’t just see the views – we understood them, felt them, and lived the stories behind every cliff and cove.
From the golden cliffs of Praia da Marinha to the hidden sea cave of Benagil, every step revealed a new marvel. Our guide showed us secret viewpoints, explained the unique geology of the hanging valleys, and even shared legends of pirate hideouts and old fishermen’s paths.
We learned how these valleys were formed by ancient rivers, suspended above today’s coastline due to millions of years of erosion. The trail gave us more than views – it gave us connection: to nature, to history, and to a land shaped by wind, sea, and time.

Great views and a really nice walk. - Great views. Signposts came and went a bit! Loved it. Did it one way and took and Uber back.
Quite rough ground in places. Allow plenty of time as it is a lot of up and down.
Really worth the effort. We did it in the evening, so superb lighting.

Hiking Excellence - Amazing experience with expert guide who helped us negotiate the rough parts in the trail and gave us commentary on geographic and historic features along our way. The sights were amazing at every turn and we had time to enjoy the spectacular scenery and take photos. We were so glad we chose to take this guided tour to help us complete this bucket list item with great memories that will last forever!

An exceptional experience! A place in the Algarve not to be missed! - This is a definite highlight! The tour is beautiful everywhere you look. The meet up was a breeze. João was helpful by showing me the train to take from Faro and train station to get off. The conversation, great stories and historical facts and fiction were very entertaining. A sweet part of the Algarve. A great hike! We had a break in the shade and had delicious smoothies, fruit.
Great photos! Overall not to be missed. Brotherootz are really passionate about connecting people to the land and its people.

Don’t Miss this Tour! - We had an amazing experience on this tour with João. The hike was the perfect length of time and intensity and the vistas were absolutely spectacular. We learned so much about the region and the history of all the majestic sights we were seeing. I saw some travelers hiking on their own but in my opinion you are missing so much of the experience without a guide. An added bonus was that João took amazing photos of us among these beautiful backdrops that he shared after the hike, along with tips and recommendations for the remainder of our travels in the area. This experience was a highlight of our time in the Algarve and I could not recommend it more highly.
