5 Star Personal Family Tour- Tunis, Carthage-Sidi Bou Said - We are a family of 3 with college son and thoroughly enjoyed our tour. Boudi was very informative on the area. We covered the Medina, outside the Ez-Zitouna (Olive ) mosque, the Bardo mosaics museum, various ruins in Carthage, lunch in beautiful coastal Sidi Bou Said and the North Africa Cemetery. There were the obligatory stops at the carpet shop of artisans, the ceramics store and perfume scents of which there is not an obligation to purchase, but in all Muslim countries we’ve visited Tunis was the least amount of pressure to buy on the street or in the store-we were pleasant and responded in French- no merci. Learning a few Arabic phrases Assalamu alaikum and shukran are important. We felt we could not have seen all that we did in that 8 hours, nor would we have felt comfortable enough to drive or park. Well worth the money for all we saw and learned. For Medina bartering, we tried to go with 50% of the asking price, helps if you throw in 2 after-it’s an art, don’t be offended.

Surrounded by the beauty and warmth of Tunis and Carthage - BouBou and her driver were great, fun, filled with knowledge. Her love of Tunisia, it’s history, it’s people was contagious. What fun to shop with her in the Medina, to lunch at Sidi Bou Said, and gaze with amazement at the Roman Mosaics in the Bardo Museum.

Sites are beautiful - Unfortunately very disorganized - they overbooked and tried to cancel - no one accepted to cancel so they pit many groups together, took us from A to B but the guide was probably not a guide and explained nothing. The sites were beautiful but disappointing to have to now read up on everything we saw ourselves. 30USD for lunch per person as an option with the tour is far too over priced - 4 of us had lunch for USD 28

Most unprofessional experience of my life - Unprofessional and unfair. We booked this tour in italian through TripAdvisor 2 days in advance. The night before the tour we received a WhatsApp from the travel agency (saharansky) that told us that we would have the tour "with a small group" and for this reason we could pay less (good news). We asked how we would have got back the difference and they told us that they would have deleted the tour and sent us another link to pay once again, but a lower price, also to "avoid to pay the 30% fee to TripAdvisor". We were scared that it was a fraud because we have to pay a second price before we get back the refund (5 days needed for Tripadvisor) so we asked to pay after the visit. Finally, the tour's day, the bus came to the picking place and the guide did not speak Italian. Too late to find another tour and they never told us that they changed the language of the tour. Anyways, we had the tour in a different language (not everyone speaks English), we can t book another Italian tour because it was too late and I hope to get my refund. Greetings...so professional... Ps. When we complained with the agency they told us "write to TripAdvisor"... PPS. We have the screenshot of all the conversation Ppps. The guide was very nice, but the tour was too fast...we didn't have the time to visit anything properly (less then 35 minutes in each place)

Do not book - DO NOT BOOK! This excursion was supposed to be a private tour that included lunch. We were put on a bus with several other groups who said the same thing about it was supposed to be a private tour but it was changed the day before. We had a late pickup and the guide did not give many details on any of the locations. For lunch we did not get to go to the cafe as promised and we had to foot the bill ourselves even though we had paid for the option. The company made several excuses without rectifying the situation properly. I would strongly advise against this tour as you will be mislead into a lacklustre experience.

Zero Stars Avoid Saharansky Tunisia at all Costs - We booked this tour for 8 people through Viator with SAHARANSKY TUNISIA DMC for a 9:00 AM departure. We were on time and waiting at the hotel lobby entrance, exactly as instructed. After several minutes passed and no one arrived, we tried to contact the tour operator. No one answered. Viator support on WhatsApp was also very slow to respond and did not offer immediate help. Viator asked us to provide proof that we were in the lobby—we sent photos and videos with clear timestamps showing we were waiting at the correct location. Finally, at 10:19 AM—over an hour later, the operator messaged us claiming the guide had been there since 8:30 AN and couldn’t find us. This was completely false. No guide approached us at any point. We spent more than an hour looking for them even I went to the front of the hotel to look for vans. Frustrated and with our day slipping away, we arranged alternate transportation through the hotel at 10:05 AM and informed Viator that we were canceling. The tour operator texted at 10:19 AM! That is 79 minutes later. I called them to complain. He claimed they called my room and no one answered. he was rude, aggressive, and even threatening, telling us that booking another tour was “illegal” in Tunisia—completely outrageous. Later, the operator sent a still frame from my own video, bizarrely identifying a random woman sitting quietly in the back of the lobby as the guide—someone who made no effort to identify herself or approach us as our guide. It was a blatant attempt to rewrite the narrative. Despite our clear, timestamped evidence, Viator refused a refund, taking the side of the operator without properly reviewing the facts. Let me be very clear: SAHARANSKY TUNISIA is a crooked company that dupes customers. They lied, failed to deliver the service we paid for, and tried to blame us after the fact. Viator’s customer service failed to protect us or uphold basic accountability. Avoid SAHARANSKY: Unreliable and dishonest.
