Rich in history and culture of Cartagena - Our guide, Adalberto made our experience very special. Adalberto’s knowledge of Cartagena is extensive and he presented it through story telling and lifetime experience. Part of our tour took place in the walled city and the other half in Bazurto, where the many lifelong residents live. Part of our motivation for this tour was to visit Anthony Bordain’s favorite lunch spot in Bazurto. Beware, if you don’t like strong odors this is not the trip for you. We are foodies and loved it. It was important to us to experience the culture inside the walled City and where the “everyday people” live. Adalberto made sure to give us exactly the tour we wanted!

An Absolute Must! 10/10 - Adalberto is an incredible guide. I would 100% recommend this tour with Adalberto. I am American and he did a great job translating. We went around the main areas of the walled city ie San Diego, El Centro, and Gestemani. We also went to the local Mercado de Bazurto. I learned a lot about the history of Cartagena. I will recommend this tour to anyone and everyone.

Awesome half day in Cartagena - My brother and I loved this more intimate your of Cartagenas historic areas, lunch at Bazurto Market, and then the colorful neighborhood of Getsemani. Adalberto is an encyclopedia of knowledge, and is a 10th generation Cartagena native.

Amazing tour - This tour was awesome! Highly recommend. Alberto is the man! My favorite part was when we went to the market. None of the other tours take you to this local market. At the market you are able to see the real Colombia and share a meal as the locals do. It’s raw, it’s real, and exactly what I was looking for. Let’s not take away from the rest of the tour tho. My wife and I learned so much about Cartagena history. Alberto has so much knowledge. Walking the walled city was great and Getsemani is filled with beautiful art work and culture.

Perfect Half Day Tour in Cartagena - Excellent tour if you’re seeking a truly authentic experience in Cartagena. Our guide was Alberto Gonzalez Ortiz, and he was so kind and a great guide. For us we really want to understand and experience local cultures when visiting new places. We know that we would not have had the same experience if we had ventured out on our own around Cartagena. My favorite part of the tour was walking around Getsemani listening to the music pouring out into the streets and seeing the beautiful painted art lining the sidewalks. I would definitely recommend this tour, and if you’re lucky, you’ll get Alberto!

Kind and Knowledgable - I could not have been happier with Adalberto Gonzales. I had mistakenly booked on the wrong day but Adalberto rushed over to meet me a day early for my own private tour.
He was super kind, considerate and very knowledgeable (and impeccable English). I learned so much not only about the history of Cartagena but also about the way of life and how to navigate the different areas of the Walled City, Getsemane and the Market.
I felt like I was his beloved niece the way he took awesome care of me.
