- Camellon de los Martires - The Camellón de los Mártires is a recently restored monument and an obligatory passage between the Historical Center and the Getsemanà neighborhood. Adjacent to this important place is the well-known and important Cartagena Convention Center that gave a framework of interest to the Pier of the Pegasos and the Bay of Cartagena.
- Plaza De Los Coches - This is the square most known by all natives and the busiest in the city, here you can see the statue of the founder of Cartagena de Indias, Don Pedro de Heredia, as well as the portal of sweets, which is a place where could taste all kinds of fruit candy varieties among other foods
In this square used to be the business of African slaves who came in large galleons brought by Portuguese.
- Plaza de la Aduana - The first name with which this square was baptized, Antigua Real ContadurÃa was given because the offices of the Royal Officials were there. Name that people would change by Customs Plaza in the 1970s, since the Administration of Customs was organized in the same building.
Here rests a statue in homage to Christopher Columbus that was placed on October 12, 1894, the Cabildo called Plaza de Colón, name which would change at the beginning of the twentieth century by order of the town hall as a posthumous tribute to the illustrious Cartagena who was four times President of the Republic, being called from that day forward Plaza de Rafael Núñez.
- Plaza de San Pedro Claver - The frame of the Plaza de San Pedro Claver is made up of the church of the same name and a row of restaurants, jewelers and shops selling handicrafts. In this place is called the statue that the Colombian artist Enrique Grau made of San Pedro Claver (the Jesuit missionary who was called ‘slave of the slaves’) and that contrasts with the avant-garde works elaborated in iron who represent the daily activities of the Cartagena
- Plaza de Bolivar - This urban space is an emblematic site of the city, full of historical and cultural symbolism, here is the statue of our liberator Simon Bolivar.
Around the park are several interesting buildings, among which stand out, is the Palace of the Inquisition in the Baroque style, the cathedral of Cartagena Herrera style, the Palace of Proclamation where the town hall functioned and until 2016 was the headquarters of the governorship of the Department of BolÃvar, the Banco de la República building and the Gold Museum.
- Plaza Santo Domingo - The Plaza de Santo Domingo is the site around which the nightlife of the old city turns. There abound bars, antique shops, jewelry stores, cafes and restaurants. The square is very popular, as well as tourists, musicians, dancers and other artists who offer their shows next to the church of Santo Domingo, and the sculpture ‘Gertrudis’, by Fernando Botero.
- Baluarte de Santo Domingo - El baluarte de Santo Domingo tiene una importancia particular, puesto que es el origen de la construcción de las murallas de Cartagena de Indias a principios del siglo XVII.
