Excellent for visiting the Aviary. - Many thanks to Engel and José Miel for their attention. We really liked the tour. For us, the issue of transportation to the Aviary was very complicated and in this case this tour helped us with this. They were very punctual and we even spent longer in the Aviary than other tours. Engel knows the place, the birds and places to take photos very well. He accompanied us at all times and did not pressure us to go fast. We always went at a good pace and that is something to value when it comes to tours. In Barú beach everything is very good. The advice they gave us worked perfectly for us.

Stunning Birds!!! - The aviary is a must see!!! I know there are other excursions out there on baru but trust me, the aviary is worth it!!! 🦜I have never been to a zoo or animal sanctuary of any kind that lets me get so close to the animals so freely. The aviary has an exceptional layout and the whole park was incredibly clean and well taken care of! 🦩The birds were absolutely out of this world and you can actually see them all (unlike some places where the animals are hiding). There are iguanas running around on the grounds with the peacocks! 🦚 If you’re an animal lover (particularly with birds like me) this is an absolute must! There was the beach portion after which was nice! Music was a bit too loud but the food and vibes were great ~ 🌀

National aviary experience in Cartagena! - It was a unique experience seeing the birds at close range. Our tour guide - Miguel, was very friendly and knowledgeable. He gave us tips to avoid the “hawkers” from price gouging us. I will certainly do this tour again!!!

Great experience, the guide Jose was excellent. - Beautiful places, the guide Jose was super attentive, friendly, and was very attentive to everyone and everything during the tour; Also, on the beach where we ate, the food was delicious and the staff was friendly. The only thing we didn't like, which has nothing to do with the guide or the agency, is that there are too many boats that arrive and are not careful with the people who are swimming, and many times you have to get out of the sea because they don't stop, They should have marked or specific places to avoid accidents.

Experience can be a lot better, not worth it at this time. - The activity was slightly worth it due to the National aviary which was awesome. I am glad I booked the activity with that included. The beach club was mediocre at best. They can improve on a lot things. First of all, the water and beach is incredible but once you reach the “mambo club” you realize how deteriorated the “club” is. No running water in the bathrooms. Instead they have a huge plastic barrel which ran out of water an hour after we arrived. Outside vendors constantly harassing you and will not take NO for answer. It was really uncomfortable. The massage ladies constantly asking. The 30,000COP food credit is worthless so you will end up paying more for the food. Everything is highly overpriced and the food was terrible. I ate at the best restaurants in Cartagena for about the same price with actual quality food. Overall, I am glad we booked the aviary too because I don’t think I would have been able to take 6-8hours of the club. The beach, water and sand are beautiful but the experience can be a lot better.

Book with low expectations - Trip was just OK, but not worth the money. As many have mentioned here, pickup was late. Was told to meet at 8:30am, but bus did not show up until 10am. Could not get a hold of the contact provided and no communication that the bus was going to be late. "Air conditioned" bus was not very air conditioned, still better than no A/C. Tour was combined with another group that went snorkeling instead of the Aviary, so the group who signed up for the Aviary was dropped off first, and then picked up after. The bird show was cool, but the entire show was in Spanish, and the audio was projected through a handheld megaphone. Time at the Aviary was too short, we had to rush through the entire exhibit. Mambo beach was ok, have seen nicer beaches. Beach was crowded and the water was not very clear. The constant swarming of vendors was just annoying. Got scammed by one of the vendors selling Oysters. The vendor still shucked the Oysters after refusing four times, and then forced me to pay for it because he already opened it. The bus ride back was agonizingly long due to heavy traffic on the way back. In hindsight, should have probably booked the boat tour.
