We’re planning a trip to Colombia’s National Aviary where we will identify the significance of conserving the ecosystems and the birds that dwell within. Currently, around 2000 birds from over 200 species draw the attention of our visitors.
The initial leg of the journey features 21 displays, including large walk-in aviaries, radial aviaries, exhibits, marshlands and lakes, all enveloped within various landscapes with differing plant life and aquatic scenarios that reflect regions of tropical, coastal and desert ecosystems among others.
Subsequently, our journey takes us to the serene Baru beach.

Great tour and Roberto knew his birds. - This tour is the one to get if you want a great experience. The bus picked me up at my hotel which saved me a taxi ride to the busy part of town. Bus had great air conditioning. The guide, Roberto, was awesome and very knowledgeable about the birds and their habitats. Playa Blanca is a popular beach so I suggest doing the tour on a weekday so it's not so crowded.
