Great first tour on our Cartagena trip - I thought this was a good tour to start with for our first time in Cartagena. We visited all of the stops that were advertised. I personally wanted to give a shout out to the tour group who were in constant communication with us prior to the tour and to also make note that even though we were the only two English speaking people on the tour that the guide went above and beyond to include us to make sure we didn't miss out on anything and made us feel very welcomed. The only side notes as mentioned in some other posts (which I knew beforehand, so this is not a complaint) is that the bus is not airconditioned and it can get very hot. The other mention is that near the end of the tour we stopped at an Emerald store to be given a sales pitch which I don’t recall reading about and didn’t so much mind except we spent a decent amount of time there which I would have wanted to spend elsewhere.

Fun Fun Fun - Driving around in the chiva bus made the tour different and unique. Even though it was a large group Freddie was able to keep us on schedule, give us the facts of Cartagena's history and keep was engaged and interested. Definitely a must do in Cartagena!

Must do tour!! - Excellent tour!! Very friendly and knowledgeable guides. Plenty of time at each stop. Guides are willing to take pictures and explain everything very well. Guides also took own pictures that you can purchase at the end, but they don’t force you to buy them. My favorite part of the trip!

My experience - Lots of history and amazing spots to visit. We were shown some of the best places Cartagena has to offer. My only complaint was that the bus was overly crowded.

Unique transportation! - This is an enjoyable tour once it gets started. I felt the tour guide went to some trouble to make sure he was giving us information in English even though the rest of the group spoke Spanish, which was very kind of him. Riding around in the chiva is fun and unique. You do need to be able to climb up about 3 rungs of a ladder to be able to get in the chiva. The biggest drawback for us is that we were picked up at the entrance to the walled city which was the first stop on the tour. Then, we circled around and through the beach hotel district to pick up other groups for the next 1.5 hours. If this is likely to bother you, suggest doing something else. I tried instead to just concentrate on the fun experience of riding in such a unique transport and taking colorful photos and so on. During the walled city walking portion of the tour there is a "shopping stop" in a jewelry store which is pretty annoying (though air conditioned).

Great but no ac or fans - Very nice and informative but was very hard to fully enjoy due to the extreme heat. There were no fans or AC on the bus.

Chiva experience - It was a very informative experience. Very hot they should consider installing some fans in the chiva. Also make it accessible for people with certain handicap restrictions. They would get more clients. Overall very good..
