Highlight of our trip to Carmel and Monterey! - Our Point Lobos hike with Monica was unforgettable. She showed us magnificent scenery, plant life, sea otters, and sea lions. Monica’s accounts of how Point Lobos has evolved are peppered with unique personal details that bring the history of the region to life as she has strong family ties to Point Lobos.

Must do experience!!! - This was an amazing nature walk through the most beautiful place. Monica is a knowledgable guide with lots of historical information about the area. She even brings a scope to get close up views of sea otters and sea lions. The views were breathtaking!!!! Having a guide, especially Monica, made the hike a much richer experience. Highly recommend! And we would definitely do it again!!!!

Great experience - We did the hike through Point Lobos State Park with Monica and it was wonderful. She was so knowledgeable and taught us so many things we never would have known if we had done the hike on our own. She also brought a tripod with a scope, which allows us to see the wildlife up close which again, We never would’ve been able to see without her. Our group was fun. She was wonderful and I would highly recommend this to anyone going to the area and wanting a full education and beautiful views of Point lobos State Park.

Wonderful tour! - We had a great tour with Monica. She was so knowledgeable in the history of Point Lobos and the surrounding areas. We saw so many beautiful vistas, flowers, and even sea lions. There hike was mostly flat, but there were a few areas with stairs and exposed rocks and roots. All in all, this was a great way to spend some time getting to know the area. Thanks Monica.

Fun morning in Point Lobos! - What an amazing morning! My teenage daughter and I spent the morning with Monica hiking around the beautiful Point Lobos reserve. We saw harbor seals, sea lions and 3 otters with their pups! And of course, the views were stunning. Learning about the history of the area was a bonus...with a fun surprise she revealed at the end of our morning. ;-) Thank you, Monica, for a great adventure into Point Lobos. Private parking was a definite bonus, too!

Do not hesitate! Best way to experience Point Lobos - This guided walk was 100% the highlight of our trip to Monterey. Monica ,the guide, gives so much insight to the hike, and knows the best areas to get stunning views. We were lucky to see 3 otters with their pups! We also saw sea lions. Monica takes her scope and you can take a closer look at wildlife.
Her firsthand knowledge of the history of Point Lobos enriches this experience.
The hike in itself isn’t hard, it takes about 2.5 hours at a slow pace.
Do not hesitate, walking Point Lobos with Monica as a guide is definitely the best way to see the best of Point Lobos.

Fabulous tour of the “sea wolves” - Monica was absolutely wonderful! First of all, we lived in Switzerland for a long time and she is Swiss so that connection was special. Along the way, we learned that she married into the family that used to own all of the Pt Lobos land so we got an intimate history lesson as well. Highly recommend!

My review is for Viator.... - My review is for Viator. They should know how long an easy walking tour is. I called because I wanted to take my elderly mother, she walks fine but is slow. They said the tour was short, but the tour was at least 3 miles, we couldn’t keep up and missed all the information at the stops. I am disappointed that I wasted our time and money on this adventure that I would not have booked if I knew the distance.
