A Day of Imagination and Play

One of the highlights of our visit was the LEGO build attractions. My boys were thrilled to participate in the car race track and boat building activities. We also spent a good amount of time in LEGO Mini World, a fascinating display of large-scale LEGO models representing various regions of the USA. While the rides were fun, my boys preferred wandering and engaging in play or building. The wait times for rides ranged from 20 to 60 minutes, so we made sure to download the park’s app to keep track of wait times and plan our day efficiently. A little tip for fellow parents: consider the photo package available in the app. For $50, you get unlimited digital photos, and we ended up with some fantastic shots of our family throughout the park.

A Perfect Family Getaway

Our visit to LEGOLAND California was made even more special by our stay at the LEGOLAND Hotel. The hotel was a hit with the kids, earning a solid five stars from our family. We took advantage of the hotel’s proximity to the park by heading back midday to rest and enjoy a delicious meal delivery. The convenience of being able to come and go with a hand stamp was a huge plus, allowing us to recharge before diving back into the fun.

The park offers some unique experiences, like trading LEGO figurines and collecting plastic badges for first visits or holidays. My boys were particularly excited about the coveted “gold badge,” and it was clear that many families were repeat visitors or season pass holders, fully embracing the LEGO culture.

Overall, our trip to LEGOLAND California was a fantastic family adventure. The park’s focus on young children, combined with its clean and friendly atmosphere, made it a stress-free and memorable experience. We left with a treasure trove of memories and a promise to return.
