Great day out and around the mountain! - A brilliant way to get an entertaining historical connection with the lions head and Atlantic seaboard area, while eating delicious food, drinking cocktails and making friends.

Walking in a dream landscape - We had a wonderfull tour with amazing views. The tour startet already uphill,along the Fynbos at Lion‘s Head, through the forest down to the sea. There was Mal waiting with a delicious picknick, with Samosa‘s, local cheese and chutney and champagne or sparkling rooibos tea. Matthew tells a lot of interesting anekdotes and facts about the history and landscape. After the picknick, we walked between boulders to Clifton beach and there were the scooters ready for us to ride all the way back to the lighthouse. The sun, sea and wind around our heads made it perfect. This tour was definitely a highlight of our holiday! Matthew has recently adjusted the tour to 3 hours, and I think that is for the majority of guests (like us) a good thing.

Incredible, magical tour — a must do! - Wow. Matt hosted the most spectacular tour for my boyfriend and I. He knows the city well as a Cape Town native and shared the rich history and stories of the city, different areas, and landmarks we passed. We appreciated his enthusiasm for local folklore and tales and thought his storytelling of town legends and history added to the magic of the day! A fantastic way to familiarize with the city and all of its personality — hiking from the waterfront to the gorgeous flower-speckled mountain trails and through the city itself. The snacks were also such a delight! Thank you for an incredible tour Matt and going above and beyond in your thoughtfulness of planning the day. Must do activity in Cape Town! - This is my second time in Cape Town so finding an activity I haven’t done before was a challenge. Look no further than this tour for something different and something fun. The walk was challenging without being difficult. We traversed so many different environments; from city streets, to hills, to first, to beach. What an amazing way to see all that Cape Town has to offer. Your guide is amazing - he not only explains fascinating facts about the biodiversity, but also weaves in historical facts I’d probably never have learned about otherwise. When I saw there were food stops, I presumed maybe a sandwich. Nope, the food was amazing!! Delicious, and filling and freshly made. Even some bubbly at the second stop. And then after all that walking you get to finish the day with a scooter ride! I was a little nervous but got my groove and then blew past everyone else and loved it! I’d do this tour again and highly recommend it.

A great day out - What a wonderful experience. The tour offers a diversity of landscapes, delicious local food and wine and breathtaking views. The trail itself is not overly strenuous at any point, making it suitable for the whole family. Matt is an extremely informative guide who effortlessly balances his humorous, fun filled approach with an in depth knowledge of the history of Cape Town and its people. I would highly recommend this tour to not visitors to Cape Town, but to all Capetonians as well.
