The island symbolizes the struggle against apartheid and the triumph of democracy, making it a significant site for understanding South Africa’s history.

Transportation to tour was disappointing - The tour was wonderful. However the transportation to the tour was not. The tour operator provided a different pick up time than did Viator. When we contacted the tour operator to inquire, they did not respond timely requiring us to get our own transportation.
