- Robben Island Museum - Guests will be collected from the address provided (within our pickup area). A shared transfer will take them to the Silo District, where they will be greeted and escorted to the Nelson Mandela Gateway. From there, they will board a shared ferry to the Robben Island Museum, where a former political prisoner will welcome them…

A shared transfer will take them to the Silo District, where they will be greeted and escorted to the Nelson Mandela Gateway. From there, they will board a shared ferry to the Robben Island Museum, where a former political prisoner will welcome them and provide a tour of the island. (Please note that the driver/tour guide will not accompany guests on the Robben Island Museum tour.) The entire excursion, including hotel pickup, lasts approximately 5 hours. Visitors will be transported around the island by bus during the tour, after which they will visit Nelson Mandela’s prison cell and experience the long walk to freedom. Upon returning to the Clock Tower Building, the tour guide/driver will meet them at the Nelson Mandela Gateway entrance.

Amazing experience in cape town - I recently took the Robben Island tour, and it was truly eye-opening! Fayical was an excellent guide on day one - his kindness and knowledge made the experience even more impactful. Highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in history and the significance of Robben Island.

Amazing and inspirational tour - Well organised and very informative tour. The guided tour and the guides at Robben island are amazing individuals, the stories they tell and what they experience are inspiring and definitely a recommended must visit as part of the Cape Town journey.

unforgettable experience - Robben Island is more than just a tour – it's a bridge between past and present. Walking in Mandela's footsteps, hearing the waves, and listening to an ex-prisoner's story, I felt the weight of history and the power of resilience. A hauntingly beautiful experience that will stay with me forever.

Must do! - Was very enriching and moving. I got to meet and get the testimony from an ex-prisonner. This tour is a must if you want to understand what South Africa is/was about!

Powerful and insightful trip - The trip was a humbling and sobering experience which was enhanced by an ex political prisoner being your guide. We felt we learned what life was really like for the prisoners.

Go there if you dare. You will be shocked. - A horrible, evil place, but essential. There was a bumpy, seasick ride to the island. Most of us survived. It reminded me of a Holocaust site. A former prisoner gave the tour. It was everything I thought it would be.

Expensive! - Robben Island was great but this booking was way too expensive and we didn’t need transport from our hotel since the dock was within walking distance! Book through Robben Island!

No service provided - complete rip-off - No meeting. No hotel pickup. No added value! Confused messages from operator Complete rip-off because guides are provided on Robben Island. Paid 4 times more than buying tickets online and got absolutely nothing extra. Avoid this company at all costs.
