This is where you will see some historical monuments like Bartholomew Dias, Jan van Riebeeck and Zackarias Waganaer Reservoir. It is here that we will embark on a brief walking tour and learn about these important monuments.
  • Castle of Good Hope - Being one of the oldest buildings in South Africa, the Castle of Good Hope is one of the historical stalwarts that is still open to visitors. It captures the historical events that took place in the Castle dating back 350 years ago. The Key ceremony and the Canon Firing all form part of the experience.

Please note:
The Key Ceremony runs Monday to Friday;
Cannon Firing does not take place on a Sunday;
These ceremonies are weather dependent.

  • City Hall - We will drive through the city as we pass the Cape Town City Hall, where former president Nelson Mandela delivered his first speech after he was freed from prison. Your tour guide will share stories about the Grand Parade, Slave Lodge, Company Gardens and House of Parliament on route to the Bo-Kaap.
  • Bo-kaap - Arriving in the Bo-Kaap, we will stop for a photo opportunity with the historical colorful houses. (Please remain in close proximity to your tour guide and keep your belongings with you at all times.) The area was formerly known as the Cape Malay Quarter, and it is here that you will have the opportunity to buy some Malay spices and/or taste some Malay foods like Samoosas, Melktert (Milk Tart), and Koeksisters (own account). Your tour guide will share stories of the history of the colorful houses.
  • Noon Day Gun - From the Bo-Kaap, we make our way to the Noon Gun. We hear the Big Bang Story of The Noon Gun, which is a historical time signal in the city of Cape Town since 1806 and situated on the lower slopes of Signal Hill. It is here that you will be greeted with an incredible view of Table Bay, the city center, the Atlantic Ocean, Robben Island, and Table Mountain.
  • AFROGEM - From the Noon Gun, we travel to Afrogem Jewellery and it is here that we will take a walking jewelry factory tour and see how exquisite African jewelry is manufactured. Visitors will have the opportunity to also walk the showroom floor and see timeless pieces, from fine gemstones. Afrogem has something for everyone who desires to take a piece of Africa home with them.

Out of this world experience - Table mountain was out of this world. We were blessed with a lovely weather, a highly knowledgeable and patient tour guide even though we had to wait 3hrs to get to the top by cable car. However, the wait was worth it as the view was breathtaking. The tour guide took us to the best viewing spot. Highly recommended tour.

City tour - Our tour was excellent. Although Table Mountain was closed due to the weather, we had a great experience. Instead we went to the botanical gardens. The castle was very interesting too.

A half day Cape Town Tour - The tour was great and full of interesting information. I wish we were able to give more of an opinion about where we were going based on our interests. Instead of hitting every “tourist” stop, we could have skipped some of the places we paid to get into. We had lots of great photos taken of us by our guide which was nice. It’s very convenient and a safe feeling to have a guide that knows the area, you don’t have to worry about taxis as pick up is right from your accommodations. Our guide Wilson was very kind. I think there could have been more times we were allowed to adventure on our own instead of guides joining you on every step. I’m guessing that’s to prevent getting taken advantage of though. I would have paid the same if not more money to our guide for us to be able to pick where and how long we stayed in places, but all around very cool trip around Cape Town and Table Mountain with the mountain definitely being the highlight of the day.

Table Mountain by cable car for spectacular views of Cape Town - Picked up from The Cullinan Hotel on time by Kabura Travel in a car as there was only us two doing the tour that morning. This was great because we told our friendly driver Tahte that our main objective was to get up Table Mountain so he re-arranged the tour to suit that. He took us first to Table Mt. but it was closed because of the wind. So he took us on the city tour including Signal Hill, Cape Castle, City Hall and the Diamond Works. We returned to Table Mt. which was now open. Tahte waited about an hour while we queued and used our prepaid tickets to ascend in a cable car to the top where we got fabulous views. After our descent, he took us back to our Hotel. Tahte spoke very good English and was very informative about the sights and his own culture.
