Upper Leeuwen Street - This fabric jewellery workshop takes place at my home studio in Bo Kaap,
Here we’ll get to know each other over a beverage - coffee, tea, juice, etc - and some local beats. We’ll also get acquainted with a proudly South African fabric called shweshwe, which I’ll show you how to manipulate into bold and bright jewellery pieces - a necklace and a bracelet or 2 necklaces or 2 bracelets. What you make you get to take (plus, each guest gets a free item)! All of these are great as gifts or wearable souvenirs.
There will also be a variety of readymade shweshwe jewellery from our range available for purchase at a 10% discount - subject to availability. Cash and card payments are accepted.
Please note that the workshop takes 1.5 hours for up to 3 guests. An additional 30min will need to be added per guest above 3. Eg:
3 guests - 1.5hrs
4 guests - 2hrs
5 guest - 2.5hrs
Can’t wait to get my make on with you!

Shweshwe, a fabric indigenous to South Africa that carries a deep historical significance, is the material we’ll be using to create our hypoallergenic jewelry thanks to its 100% cotton composition. Our brand bears a poignant yet heartwarming backstory honoring the creator’s mother. Additionally, we will be accompanied by local music to establish the ambience during our workshop.
For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
