Highly recommended - Fantastic tour! The trip touches lot of interesting places with the possibility of doing many activities on the way (kayak, hiking, etc...) Some of the stops were a bit rush, but that's inevitable due to the tight schedule, but overall the trip is very well organized. A big thanks goes our guide Gareth: super cool guy, patient, professional and always willing to help and satisfy our needs, really a great guide! Highly recommended!

Excellent - Wendy the tour guide. She was excellent. The accommodation provided was great. I can’t fault it. I would liked longer at some of the beautiful places to enjoy beaches and swimming pools. I think there is a market to make the tour over maybe 10 days or 14.

Perfect 6 day tour! - This tour was exceptional. From start to finish it was thoroughly enjoyable. To begin with our guide (Gareth) put in a shift with a smile every day. He safely negotiated the van around every bend and over every bump. He is very knowledgeable with lots of facts to tell about places along the route. He was always happy to answer any questions we had and went out of his way to make sure all the guests had the best experience. The van has plenty of room to relax whilst out on the road. Looking out of the window as the scenery moves by is a pleasure itself. All the accommodation spots (backpacker option) along the route were excellent, modern and in perfect settings. Some are worth the cost of the trip alone! The food at each place was very nice and plentiful including some lovely local South African dishes. You will not got hungry at any point. The tour has been planned brilliantly, its nicely paced with a good balance of activities and view points in contrast to the time on the road. The activities themselves were phenomenal, so much fun and some at times physically challenging. Personal favourites were seeing the penguins, Kayaking along the river & Addo park, the latter being one of those pinch me experiences. Overall I would highly recommend this tour (6day) its great value for money, allows you to see beautiful South Africa without having the hassle of driving and booking accommodation/activities yourselves and allows you to experience everything the route has to offer with a bunch of like minded travellers in comfort. Earthstompers amazing reputation online was not only met but surpassed, this is by far the best group tour i have ever done.

Fabulous garden route tour - Wow what an adventure. This tour was planned beautifully, out guest house accommodation was superb but the best was Mark our tour rep, he made this trip, he was so knowledgeable about this route, he got on with everyone and we laughed.

great tour - I did a 6 day garden route tour with Earthstompers starting from/ending in Cape Town. The whole tour and our guide Christine were amazing. Christine was very considerate of everyone. The backpacker accommodations were better than I expected and quite comfortable and in nice locations. The atmosphere during the trip was very nice and it felt like traveling with friends. The meal choices/stops were also great. I definitely recommend the tour!

Great company, fantastic tour, and even better guides! - I booked on a recommendation from a friend, so glad I did it was a trip of a lifetime! Earthstompers were brilliant at answering questions prior to tour and gave suggestions for accommodation pre and post tour. The tour takes you to lots of places along the garden route so you see loads in the time. The accommodation was much better than I expected for backpackers standard, a real variety too! The group was mixed with solo, friends, couples, and mother & son which worked really well, everyone was so lovely. Our tour guide Christine was incredible, so organised, friendly, knowledgeable, chilled, and cheery. She even helped advise me on a self drive trip after the tour which I really appreciated. I’ll remember her smiley face, the trip wouldn’t have been the same without her! The only downside is that Earthstompers aren’t in other countries otherwise it’s a company I’d use again and again for definite!

Earth Stompers and Addo Elephant Sanctuary - Firstly I want to thank Christine, our tour guide for being exceptional with everything to do with our tour. Highly informative, whether it be about the next aspect of the tour, what to wear, where we were staying, pee pee stops and so very much more. Loved this trip and would highly recommend.

South Africa 6 day Garden Route Tour with Jaco - This was a well organised tour. The guide, Jacobus was knowledgeable of the whole route and was also able to answer some quirky off-the-bat questions from everyone. The guide was considerate to everyone’s needs and expectations which was greatly appreciated. It was nice of the tour guide to have taken a few votes on route to see what everyone wanted to do, the pit stops and toilet stops were well thought out, however the choice in music could have been a bit more modern (but this is a personal preference). The voting system felt more tailored to everyone’s needs which was really considerate. There was a bit of drama on the tour, but the guide was very professional and always had a positive attitude which made the whole experience more sunny and upbeat. My friend and I chose the the twin room with en-suite. Some of the places were really nice and some were slightly outdated. The food was homely and welcoming and the activities were really fun. My friend and I did a couple of thrill seeking activities such as bungee jumping and zip-lining. It was incredible. This route was very scenic and pleasant. I would 100% recommend it to anyone visiting South Africa for the first time and for a short period of time such as me and my friend were. I would actually do the whole tour again. ☺️

Excellent Tour Guide and a Great Value - On my Earthstompers tour, Wendy was an excellent guide and host – staying calm and congenial even if things went awry, which they did once but we won't talk about that. She was very informed, friendly, professional and calm. Liked her a lot. Overall, I thought our tour was a great value. But I did think the accommodations were uneven. As a solo traveler, I had chosen the backpacker option. I thought that Pili Pili and Afro Vibe - at the beach in Sedgefield - were wonderful Afro Vibe was ideal – great views, lovely apartment flat, super clean and modern. Pili Pili was a bit basic, but its location on the beach was outstanding. I was not too fond of our other accommodations. Our Chandelier flat was barely ok. Avoca River Cabins had a lovely location with a gorgeous view, but the accommodations were dark, old and had some issues. The Cape Agulhas backpackers was your typical hostel, not a higher standard at all. I was solo next to a group room with 4 men, which made me slightly uncomfortable. As for our activities, I enjoyed everything but was not impressed with Chandlier, the ostrich reserve. Not very scenic and when we did our sundowner, the sun wasn't even coming down yet. I did enjoy the food and Shelia the giraffe though. Four women on our tour tried skydiving for the first time and had a blast. For the cost with the activities included, I would recommend this tour. I might suggest people chose the guest house option though.
