City Sightseeing Cape Town - A great way to discover Cape Town and surroundings. Buses are very clean and comfortable and the staff are very friendly.

Great value and plenty for your money - Excellent value and tour. Plenty of buses, good information, not too many stops and great staff. Would recommend the 2 day and additional trips to everyone who visits.

The highs and the lows - Our experience with City Bus started off on a very low note but ended on a very high one. I had purchased my tickets in advance but I still needed to wait on an obscenely long line to have my voucher scanned for paper tickets. Without exaggeration, it was over a half hour long. Why did I purchase them online? I still had to wait on the long physical line. Many people who had not purchase them in advance, walked off the line. They said it just wasn't worth it. I have always purchased my hop-on hop off tickets prior to my trip and NEVER needed to turn them in for a paper one. Once we started our tour, it was perfect. The stops were wonderful, timing of the buses perfect, the narration was excellent and walking tours fascinating. Even the drivers were polite and helpful when needed. We also took advantage of the harbor cruise. We had a wonderful 48 hours.

Cape Town HOHO red-line bus - you have to do it! - From the first point of contact at Stop 1, up to the follow-up thank you email from the CEO, was very professional, yet fun. I purchased the 2 day HOHO ticket that included an optional canal or harbour cruise as well as a sunset bus tour to Signal Hill. The content of the points of interest were informative and easy to understand. I would recommend sitting upstairs in the open-air (like I did) as things to see are on both sides of the bus and these are often difficult to see inside the bus, and even harder to take photos (as reported by my husband who was on the lower deck). You are reminded to wear a hat and sunscreen while upstairs and yes, you do need them! However, it can get very windy up there, so wear a hat that fits snuggly or has a tie under the chin, so it is not lost! The buses leave regularly and we got on the red-line from Stop 1, however we had a long stop of approximately 15 minutes at Stop 2 (just outside our hotel!). I'm not sure if this is a normal thing, but you may consider getting on at Stop 2 and disembarking at stop 1. The walk back to stop 2 is along the Waterfront, which is really picturesque. We got off only at Table Mountain, but it would have been interesting to also get off at Stop 5, which is in the town and is where you also go on free guided walks to learn the history of the town. If you have time, I would recommend doing the red line on day 1, get off at Table Mountain), then continue around, then on day 2 do the cruise and sunset bus tour (that's if the weather is good - lucky for us, it was great on both cays).

Excellent, well organized hop-on/off bus experience. - We used the hop-on-hop off bus for the large round trip. We used the stops at the Kirstenbosch botanical garden (great) and the little extension with the bus into the Constantia wine estates. Both were great experiences, the bus offers the right facility to visit those places when you are staying in Cape Town.

Great tours - My wife and I did the Red Tour twice, once non-stop and once to get to Table Mountain. We did the Blue Tour once, with a stop at Kirstenbosch gardens. Both tours were excellent, especially the Blue Tour. We bought three-day tickets and they were exceptional value for money. The buses were very comfortable and frequent.
