-
Quang Uyen - We continue to Dia Tren paper village, where 65 households practice the traditional craft of papermaking, a skill preserved for many generations within the Nung An ethnic group. If we’re fortunate, we might witness the Nung An people producing paper from the bark of May Sla (local language) through numerous steps and hear the story behind it. There will be an opportunity to buy souvenirs like fans, notebooks, or sheets of paper used for drawing or calligraphy.
-
Quang Uyen - Next, we proceed to Phia Thap, where the Nung An people make incense sticks from natural materials. Incense plays an important role in Vietnamese daily life. On sunny days, you can see incense drying along the village roads.
-
Nam Tra Waterfall - We drive to Mount Angel Eye valley. Depending on the season, we can either drive or walk down the valley, then find a way to hike up to the “eye” or take a raft/SUP to the starting point of the hike during the rainy season. Covering around 15 hectares when full of water, the area is known locally as Nam Tra lake during the rainy season (June - August). In the dry season (from September onward), local farmers graze cattle in the valley, creating a picturesque landscape that looks like a postcard.
Afterward, we drive back to the city, and the tour concludes.
