Just a great way to see both lakes - This is a wonderful way to see Lake Thun and Lake Brienz. Zero stress and you can hop o and hop off anytime. The water is glacier green and pure, and the scenery is pristine, with the mountains in the background. This is the perfect activity to do with the family, no matter the ages. I highly recommend this family Activity

3Hours trip a worth - Follow sign boards from Interlaken OST train Station towards lake cruise. If u have a day pass from Swiss Train SBB the boat cruise is included. Means free 3hours trip back to Interlaken OST train station. During cruise u may have food. The sights r Awesome 👏 . beauty n nature at its peak. Blue water lake with few stops and sight seeing.

Beautiful calm lake trip - A beautiful lake trip that enables you to get at any stop to see and then go back to the next boat. The lake is excellent and very calm with no other boats.

Quite a pleasant experience. - The water is beautiful, the mountains are majestic and the guides are fantastic. They stop and play a trumpet to be able to hear at the echo spot. We enjoyed a lunch there and headed back.

Nice cruise but doesn't end where it begins leaving you to return by train/road - The cruise is heavenly and the boat is more like a 5-star yacht -it's superb! Warning! 1. The cruise ends miles away from where it begins - so make sure you have transportation at the end point - I was unaware of this, took the road back and got stuck in traffic for 2 hours! 2. Luckily the ticket I booked on tripadvisor was by default for the first class (upper) deck - but I'm not sure anything was mentioned as to choices of decks when I did the booking - the yacht has 3 different decks and upper deck access is only fore those booked for first class

Check timetable before sailing - Interlaken sits on the intersection of two lakes. We had planned to make a circular trip on Lake Thun, but found that at the time of travelling (early May) this was not possible as we could sail to Thun but would have to return by bus or rail. Instead we made the trip on Lake Brienz. Nice boat and super scenery. Highly recommended - but do check those timetables!!!

It is only possible to do... - It is only possible to do one lake in a day. This is not hop on hop off because the next boat isn’t for 2 hours. We actually took a train to our first destination on lake Thun so we could explore before boarding the boat. If we had waited for the first boat that day it would be too late to do anything. We also took a train back because the last boat did not return to Interlaken it stopped a couple of ports prior. The mark up on the tickets is high. Suggest buying locally. Be aware that dining on the boat closes early. Be aware of seasonal time table changes.

Good ride, lousy service from Trip Advisor - While the boat ride was very good, the experience with TripAdvisor was awful! We were not provided with info as to where to access the boat. I called TA, they didn’t know the answer and never got back to us . We figured it out eventually with no help from them. When we got to the boat we were told that the tickets we had required a Swiss half fair card, which we did not have. The boat operator took pity on us and let us slide. When I inquired as to what the walk up cost would be, it was about 2/3 of what we had paid TA. I thought they made their money by getting discounts from the tour operators and providing additional services, or maybe slight margins, not 50%! They provided no service, maybe negative service in this instance. We will never use them again! If you want to do this boat ride, just walk up and pay a lot less!

Rip-off - It’s very difficult to see both lakes in one day, so it may not be worth it to pay so much for a day pass for both lakes.

Missed the boat - We had planned to take the Hop-On Hop-Off cruise on Lake Thun and stop at several of the tourist attractions, but were unable to find the boat dock from which the boat departed out of Interlaken. The website and some of the reviews were also confusing. If you get off at one of the stops, the website doesn't state how long it will be before the next boat arrives (if there is another boat) and it doesn't say at what time the boats stop running. Some posts also say the boat does not make a complete circuit around the lake and you end up having to take the bus back to your origination point where your car is parked. A boat ride around Lake Thur sounds great, but the "devil is always in the details." Regardless, we had a great time driving the shoreline and were able to stop at multiple sites and stay as long as we wanted.
