From San José, we start our journey, passing through the splendid landscape of Braulio Carrillo National Park before reaching Sarapiqui, where two thrilling activities await: a Canopy Tour amidst a secondary forest with towering trees, followed by White Water Rafting on the turbulent Sarapiqui River after lunch. The Canopy Tour lasts approximately an hour and a half, featuring nine varied-length cables strung across the forest, with the final one spanning the Sarapiqui River. The Sarapiqui River rafting excursions range from class II to III, offering a thrilling view for those craving this heart-pounding activity. With nine miles of unexpected rapids interspersed with quiet, soothing intervals, it’s an experience birdwatchers, nature enthusiasts, and adrenaline junkies will never forget. Alternatively, you may choose a horseback riding tour instead of white-water rafting.
