One of the Best adventures we’ve been on! - Exploring Rats Nest Cave with Canmore Cave Tours was an adrenaline rush! We went as a family of 3, including our 16 year old, and it thrilled each of us. Our guide, John, was knowledgeable, inspired confidence, and quietly assessed our comfort levels as we made our way through the cave (ie/making sure we could complete some of the more challenging portions). There are some narrow passages and awkward portions that require mobility, but the beauty of the cave is worth it. And it was fun! We’ll be talking about this for a long time and recommending to all our friends.

So Glad we did this - The people leading these tours LOVE what they do, which makes you love doing it with them! Grace and John were experts and knew so much about the caves’ formation, history, etc. They challenged us with routes we took, but always made sure to ensure our safety. The perfect balance of pushing our limits but maintaining caution. This is without a doubt a must-do activity.

10/10 Must Do Activity - This trip was amazing. Our tour guide Jon was very professional and knowledgeable, while having a very fun yet relaxing demeanour, which made us feel very safe and comfortable for our first time exploring a cave. He was also fantastic at catering to everyone in the group, so that everyone had a unique experience that suited their comfort level. The cave itself was fantastic. I had been wanting to do this activity for a while and am so happy that we finally did it. I would recommend this activity to everyone who is considering doing it. Words truly can not describe how surreal of an experience it is. We watched The Descent the night before, to add a little extra thrill. 10/10 one of my favourite experiences to date.

Bucket list adventure to Canmore’s Rat’s Nest Cave. - Our family went on an amazing journey to the center (or close to it) of Grotto Mountain on the Canmore Rat’s Nest Cave Adventure Tour. It was a fantastic experience. Squeezing through narrow passages, repelling down 15+ metres, exploring the Grand Gallery as well as the fantastic Grotto area. Our group was terrific. Cheering and supporting each other as we slid, literally, our way through a large portion of the tour. Our guide John was excellent. His humour and information were on point as well as his commitment to our safety. Much appreciated. Outside the cave the scenery was beautiful of course, it is Canmore after all. It was definitely a bucket list adventure.

10/10 Would Cave Again - Going caving was not something I ever thought I would want to do, but I am so glad we did the Adventure Tour with John! My husband and I went with my in-laws and not only was it a super fun experience, it was also very educational! From rappelling, shimmying, and butt-scooting everywhere, to learning about geo-chemistry throughout the cave, John made it an experience to remember. You could tell he was passionate about his work and went the extra mile to make sure everyone was comfortable and enjoying themselves. Cannot recommend John and Canmore Cave Tours enough!

Unforgettable First Real Cave Adventure - There are not enough adjectives to accurately describe how much fun this cave tour was. Firstly, it isn't the typical type of cave tour that usually immediately comes to mind. This is a down-and-dirty, crawling around, 6-year-old-you-dream type of cave adventure. Initially, I was slightly nervous about this tour when my best friend suggested it, mainly because tight spaces sometimes ignite claustrophobia that is typically non-existent. But it was for her birthday, so naturally, I wasn't going to let my fear stop a potentially awesome experience. Brent was our guide, and we had a solo adventurer, Adam, join our group. So the four of us set off into the wild known, and from the beginning, I was immediately put at ease thanks to Brent's chill demeanor and great vibe. The hike to the cave was basically textbook. Gorgeous cool, sunny day. There was very little snow to deal with, and we made it up well under the 45-minute mark. The cave was nothing less than extraordinary. For the avid thrill-seeker-adventurer, it was everything someone who was new to this could want. The pace was perfect, not rushed whatsoever. Brent took us to a few areas where most groups don't typically go only because they're challenging for most people. Our conversations between the four of us were never dull, Brent was a knowledge powerhouse, and he always gave us the option of navigating an area on our own or with suggestions from him all in the name of increasing the challenge. The cave had numerous areas requiring a solid step and firm hand placement. There were also areas where it took a level head and calm demeanor to navigate. Even with my random claustrophobia, I still opted to tackle the areas that were optional due to the higher level of difficulty. I felt good the entire time knowing Brent wouldn't lead us anywhere he didn't think we could conquer. If you're going to visit Canmore, or even near it, I highly suggest going on this cave adventure. The price is absolutely worth it all thanks to the professionalism of the crew, the chill vibe, the time spent in the cave, and the outright adventure level of it.

Awesome time! - Amazing adventure tour! The hike to get to the cave was interesting and gave nice views of the area. The tour itself is definitely memorable. So many neat things to see. The squeezes were my favorite. Definitely recommend this tour for adventurous people who are looking for something unique to do in the area.

Exhilarating experience. - First time you’ll have fun doing laundry. This was my first cave exploring and it certainly won’t be the last. Rats nest was right up my alley as my girlfriend and I did the extended version. There was tight squeezes, 49 meter rappelling and lots to see. Our guide Annie was amazing and very personable. As long as you don’t have a fear of heights, tight spaces, being in the dark, or have any physical limitations I would say it’s an experience of a life time which I wouldn’t pass up on. Total time spent was about 7 hours dedicated to the entire experience.

Must do this no words can explain the memory this will mean - Knowing the depth we were at and to see an actual fault line was amazing. We also met 4 ladies from Singapore that made the experience even more memorable
