This is where Torkham Creek meets the Vermilion River, a site known for its fossilized Cambrian soft-bodied organisms from millions of years ago. A narrow path over the creek leads to a bridge with views of the canyon below, where frozen waterfalls cascade from above, creating a breathtaking landscape with cool, impressive water pools.
• Yoho National Park - Yoho National Park, bridging British Columbia and Alberta, captures the country’s beauty, grandeur, and profound awe. The name “Yoho” comes from a Cree expression of amazement, perfectly describing the park’s captivating landscape of majestic mountains and ice fields. Yoho is renowned for the Burgess Shale archaeological site, which contains exceptionally preserved fossils that are 508 million years old!
• Emerald Lake - With its charming wooden bridge and tranquil turquoise waters, Emerald Lake is a picture-perfect destination. Surrounded by lush forests and towering peaks, this hidden gem offers a peaceful retreat into nature.
• Natural Bridge - Pause at the Natural Bridge to admire the Kicking Horse River as it carves through ancient rock. You can view this incredible natural formation from various vantage points with interpretive displays that provide fascinating facts about the Natural Bridge. • Banff - As the day draws to a close, return comfortably to Banff, Canmore, or Calgary for drop-off.
