A pleasurable experience - I can highly recommend a trip to Pizzorno Winery. I went there on a half-day excursion. Everything was well organized. The hosts took very good care of us. The guided tour was instructive and fun and the 3 course meal with selected wines was delicious.

Wonderful wines in Montevideo, Uruguay. - Wonderful wines, beautiful location. Very organized wine tasting and owner was very knowledgeable as the vineyards had been in his family for many generations. We had no idea that wines in Uruguay would be so lovely.

If you like wine you have to do this trip - Amazing chance to learn about how wine is grown, how it is made, and taste some of the grapes specific to Uruguay.
Trip out to the winery dispenses with the typical guide, useless chit chat, and random facts no one remembers. Once your transport gets you to the winery you are in their hands and leaning and hearing from them and not a guide. The folks at the winery are super knowledgeable and interested in talking about their craft and showing you how wines change when paired with specific foods. They don’t push their wines or ask you to buy anything.
The lunch is amazing and comes with wine pairings so is like another tasting all over.
What a refreshing experience that is focused only on why you came and not selling.

Wonderful wine tasting experience - We had a Juaquin as our tour guide as he showed us around the vineyard and explained, in detail, the process of their wine making and history of the winery. Very enjoyable experience, great wine and food. Would highly recommend.

Great wines and great food - We only walked along the wine-growing areas. Our wine guide told us many interesting things, we continued in the wine cellar, then we tasted two white wines and two red wines. Very high quality. At the end we went to lunch with wine accompaniment. A really excellent 3-course menu. Finally, we bought some good bottles of Sauvignon Blanc . All in all a very rewarding excursion, great wines and great food.

Great experience - We had amazing experience there - the guide was very passionate about wine and wine making process. We got 8 glasses of wine to test and had super delicious lunch. The place.itself is very beautiful as well

Perfect way to spend half a day in Montevideo - What a wonderful day spent at Pizzorno Winery. We were picked up right in front of our hotel and drove 40 minutes to the winery. We were then split into groups based on language, given a glass of wine while we chose our lunch, and given an outside tour of their beautiful vineyard. We then learned how they make different types of wines. It was incredibly informative and interesting. We tasted 2 white wines and 2 red wines and then headed in an other room for a delicious lunch. I would highly recommend this tour!

Great tour and fabulous wine. - Great tour. I recommend it to anyone who is interested in wine and loves tasting some excellent vintages. An easy 45 minute bus ride to the winery, we were split into two groups, Spanish and English speaking and given an interesting tour and an entertaining tasting experience. After that we enjoyed a lovely lunch with each dish paired with a wonderful glass of wine. Highly recommended.
