Highlights
  • Pisgah National Forest - We’ll rally at the trailhead, or at Summit coffee for those who may want to follow their respective vehicles. The drive to the trail will be scenic and should not take under an hour.

Once at the trailhead we’ll stretch out, warm up and your guide will review some best hiking practices, safety, dish out the hiking poles and share what they love most about this hike. Expect to hike 3-5 miles over terrain that may be challenging at times, but nothing anyone new to hiking could not handle. This is the Blue Ridge Mountains and we often have to work for our rewards of epic views and dramatic waterfalls.

Along the hike your guide will interpret the landscape, plants and wildlife that you will encounter. From wildflowers to fungus, melodic birds, animal tracks and anything else that’s encountered!

Once we get to the payoff we’ll find a spot to enjoy the scenery, have some snacks and refresh for the hike back to the trailhead. We are proud to provide fresh fruit, trail mix and other healthy snacks to keep everyone energized.

At the end we’ll share high-fives and head back to Asheville in our own vehicles. It’ll be the perfect way to start the day.

Additional Information

We’ve gone the extra mile to find the most beautiful hikes in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Our goal is to provide memorable experiences that offer opportunities to connect to nature, solitude, and a sense of being in the wild. Our trips are built for those who don’t mind moving their legs or getting an early start. Because we like to hike and strive to find solitude, our hikes start a bit early and may cover an extra mile. One of the best parts of our hikes is that we get you back to Asheville in time for a well-earned lunch (and/or beer) and a full day to experience the town.

Come join us in the mountains, build memories and share the adventure!

Kid friendly hiking - He was so kind and willing to help us all the time! He even held me ( 5 months pregnant) to cross a little cold river lol 😆 we had a great time talking and enjoying a beautiful morning. He also had healthy snacks to us. He was also very careful with us specially me being pregnant and my little girl. We enjoyed a lot!

Enjoying Natures Beauty - The instructor was knowledgeable and pointed out the wonders of nature along the hike. He gave me some good recommendations on gear to purchase as well. He even catered the hike so my dog could join.

Customized Trailblazing. Great morning exercise - hiking Mount Pisgah in Asheville, NC. Multiple paths at my level. - My guide customized my hike, by selecting trails based upon my comfort level. It was foggy, with low hanging clouds. Still, such a beautiful, rewarding experience to be scaling rocks and small boulders a mile above sea level!

So very worth the hikeeee - Ishka WAS SO AWESOME! We hiked with her for about an hour to the top of the snowball hiking trail. This hike is not for the weak at heart but is a great boost of energy. It gets pretty rocky towards the end , and you must be ready to for some serious rock clibing but if you're in decent shape, you'll kill it. So many awesome views along the way but if you can handle it, try and make it til the end! that view is unforgettable. Ishka is very knowledgeable about the area and even brought us snacks :).
