Not Hawaii 50 but close - Cool to go through the mangroves and speed on the water. Snorkeling was good and better than I had expected. Guide was attentive and when we had a boat problem he quickly noticed and helped us immediately. Very enjoyable.

Buckle Up, It’s Wild (Literally) - Let’s just start with this: Cancun in December is absolutely stunning. Warm breezes, turquoise water, and just enough holiday chaos to make your escape feel like a genius move. But if you're looking for something more thrilling than sipping cocktails by the pool (not that there's anything wrong with that), this Speedboat Jungle Tour & Snorkel adventure is exactly the "I need a story to tell when I get back to work" kind of experience you're looking for. Spoiler: It’s WILD. You’ll drive your own two-person speedboat (yes, you’re the captain now), and while that sounds like a chill date idea on paper, the reality is more Fast & Furious: Caribbean Drift than slow float. Some of the other drivers were clearly panicked... which made the ride extra spicy. Swerving. Stalling. Accidental donuts. It was like bumper boats meets ocean currents, and while I live for chaos, if you're even a little nervous about water or, say, following directions... maybe don't be the driver. The snorkeling part? Gorgeous, but the water was ROUGH that day. Like... I’ve-birthed-kids-and-this-still-felt-like-a-battle rough. If you're not a strong swimmer, this part could be a challenge. The current was intense and I watched at least two people fully retreat back to the boat after approximately three seconds in the water. That said, we LOVED it. The fish are curious and there's something deeply satisfying about earning your underwater photos the hard way. Tips from a frequent Workcationer (and mom of 5): Bring a waterproof phone pouch or GoPro. Wear the rash guard or long-sleeved swim top... they’re not just for style; the sun is unforgiving. Eat AFTER. Trust me on this. Do not, I repeat, do not let your least coordinated travel companion drive.. In short? This isn’t the lazy river. It’s not sanitized or soft. It’s fast, unpredictable, salty AF, and completely unforgettable. Highly recommend. Just... hold on tight.
