- Fruit Stand - We’ll stop by a family-run market where they stock hard-to-find and seasonal fruits, vegetables and fresh-squeezed juices, where you’ll be able to learn all about these exotic foods from your expert guide.
- Taqueria Gomez - We are on our way again to a locally-operated fruit and veggie market, which houses many exotic fruits that are typical to Mexican farming and cuisine. It is at this market, located in downtown Playa del Carmen, where we are going to try local fruit juices, which is also a typical refreshment the locals enjoy daily. Afterward, your guide will lead you towards one of the best Taquerias in town, at which point tacos are served!
- Biblioteca Municipal Leona Vicario - We walk through this plaza to find some tacos al pastor at one of our favorite food stands.
- ANTOJITOS Playa del Carmen - At this stop we’ll try some mole.
- PALETERIA Y NEVERIA PUREPECHA - We’ll finish the tour with some local popsicles and icecreams.

Best food tour we’ve tried! - This is an excellent tour. We visited several local establishments off the standard tourist path. The guide Indy is exceptional. He provides a great overview of the area as well as the food. Everything was delicious! Highly highly recommended!

Highly recommend!!!! - Marcel provided an amazing experience, walking through the streets of Plya Del Carmen. From start to finish Marcel not only shared his knowledge of Mexican cuisine but unique tidbits of culture and mythology as well. Each tasting was delicious and served by gracious hosts at each stop. Walking through the different neighbourhoods and stoping to discuss the different street art and notable monuments, was a great part of the tour as well. We definitely recommend eating with Carmen to anyone looking to experience a taste of amazing local eats and history. Thanks Marcel for an awesome time!!’

Incredible tour with Indy and the most delicious food and lots of culture. - Excellent food tour with Indy, full of local knowledge, stories, information and fun facts! Catered to everyone's taste from no spice to a lot of spice. So much tasty food with delicious drinks and cool stop-offs on the tour. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Indy and would recommend it 100% to anyone visiting Playa del Carmen.

Great walking in tour! - What a great time learning about the foods of the Yucatán. Green sausage pictured is not to be missed. Alejandro our guide was knowledgeable and fun. Great evening you’ll be stuffed with amazing food!

Food, Art and History!!! - Enrique was a wonderful guide!! He had so much information on the history of Playa, the beautiful street art and on the healthy aspects of the food. Oh and the food….it was wonderful!! I had the best tamale ever, fantastic mole (not too hot) and very tasty carnitas. I will definitely suggest this walking tour to everyone!!!

Enjoyable evening walk and food tour - It was a pleasure to have Indy as my tour guide. He is full of energy and knows everything about Playa del Carmen. He showed us all the nice food places and took everybody into account, it’s no issue if you have any dietary requests. Along the way he also took pictures and his communicating skills are great!
