Fun day! - Really awesome and professional. Everything in the description is included besides the dock tax per person. I wish we spent a little more time at the first stop to shop more but they were overpriced anyways so not that big of a deal. We paid extra to do golf carts, at the second stop, which was pretty fun and there are some small shops to buy souvenirs for cheap! They took pics all day, I was with a group of 6 so splitting the cost for all of them was not bad at all (I think it ended up being $6 each). All in all great day!

Great experience, VIP upgrade worth it - We had a great experience with this tour. We had booked the 1 PM boat for Friday August 8th and I contacted the company by whatsapp at the number they provided in the confirmation email the day before to confirm pick up time and location. They had a driver pick us up at 11:45am and also drive us back to our hotel upon completion of the boat trip (around 7pm). When we got to the marina around noon, a tour guide approached us and advised us that this tour is the "plus" tour, and for $30 USD more each person, we can have the VIP experience with a nicer boat, no kids, better party boat experience, better and more food options at the buffet and more time chilling on the beach as they don't take us into town like the "plus" experience. So we decided to do the VIP upgrade and it was very worth it and glad we did it. It was exactly as he described and the open bar and buffet were so good with a big variety of stuff. Also the boat was definitely like a party boat experience with music, drinks and dancing.
One thing I can recommend is to pay any upgrade or the mandatory $45 USD dock fee in US dollars and not pesos because if you pay in pesos, they end up charging you more money. The VIP upgrade and dock fee for 2 people was a $155 USD, but if we were to pay in pesos, they wanted to charge us $3,100 pesos, which worked out to be $165 USD at the time.

The wonderful CATAMARAN staff. Good drinks. Lunch in the LOUSY buffet area. Bad food - Bad food. Catamaran staff at most. Years ago I did and it's amazing that they don't improve Food Service. Friendly staff but the owner should invest a little more in the food on the Island. Few grim on the beach for all catamarans

Think twice! - At first arrival, they say you can’t use your sunscreen because it’s harmful to the sea life. Then they make you buy their “natural sunscreen” that’s over priced. Snorkeling was about ten minutes. On the boat they are pushing drinks but what you don’t know is they are reusing the ice and cups that people are drinking out of. Disgusting! The food was horrible and cold. I wish I could get my money back!

Misleading and Overcrowded Excursion – Not as Advertised - We booked this excursion through TripAdvisor expecting an affordable, enjoyable experience based on the description provided. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing and did not match what was advertised.
The listing stated a maximum of 40 guests, which was a key factor in our decision to book. However, once we boarded the catamaran, there were well over 100 people on board. The boat was severely overcrowded, making the experience uncomfortable from the start.
The snorkeling portion was poorly organized. All guests were put into the water at the same time, along with multiple other excursion groups from different companies. We were given approximately 10 minutes in the water, and due to the crowding, there was little to no marine life visible. The experience felt rushed and chaotic rather than enjoyable.
Additionally, the sunscreen policy was unclear and inconsistent. It was not clearly disclosed during booking that only reef-safe sunscreen would be allowed. This was not mentioned until we arrived at check-in. While staff initially approved non-aerosol sunscreen, once on the boat, the crew did not allow guests to use their own sunscreen and required them to purchase sunscreen sold onboard. This felt misleading and unnecessary.
We were also told we would be visiting the north side of Isla Mujeres, which was shown on the provided map. Instead, we were dropped off on the south end of the island, in an isolated hotel area with limited options outside of a buffet.
Golf cart rentals offered through the excursion were significantly overpriced. We were quoted 1,500 pesos (approximately $85 USD), and the carts were not available until 1:00 PM, despite the return departure being at 2:30 PM — allowing for roughly one hour of use. Local rentals on the island charge approximately 300–500 pesos, making this markup excessive.
I rarely leave negative reviews, but this excursion was misrepresented in multiple ways, from crowd size to itinerary and pricing. I am sharing this to help other travelers make an informed decision.

NOT EVERYONE CAN DO THE SNORKELING BUT NO ONE WARNS YOU OF THAT BEFOREHAND - If I would have known I had to be an olympic swimmer to do the snorkel I would have never gone on this tour. There are no warnings about how tough it is and I think of myself as an average swimmer but that really wasn't good enough. I also was never given a pickup time I had to call the same day when they opened at 7:30am to be told they would be here by 8:15 am. Isla Mujeres on the other hand was beautiful but I wish I would have saved time and money by getting on the ferry & just spending the day on the island. The tour was too short due to the snorkel and the awful buffet lunch stop. not good. The our guide told us better to taxi but it was so much fun to rent a golf cart. Obviously they must get kickbacks for advertising & recommending but when your new to doing these things you want to trust the guide is being honest. But really you have to be aware of everyone. Then the pick ups & drop offs take too long. Spent so much time on the road for nothing. I will plan better next time & just ferry there to leave when i want.

A tourist prank. To flee!! - Go your way. If you are looking for a moment DE relaxation, a real moment DE discovery or even just an outing a bit human... run away.
It is not an excursion, it is a tourist production line DE, calibrated to the millimeter to scroll the tickets like on a conveyor belt.
Upon arrival, the tone is set: a low-cost airport-style hangar, where you are sorted like cattle ready to board for boredom. We barely brief you, we push you towards an overcrowded catamaran, one DE more among the fleet DE clones that parade in the chain. I’m waiting for you for 45 minutes just to scan your QR Code. My reservation made the day before got me 1h45 waiting because they could not find my reservation!!! Outrageous...
The Mood? That of an open bar a little sad and stuck with an outdated sound. The photographer was not there to capture memories: he was a commercial sniper. When he spotted a ‘bankable’ group, he did not hesitate to sideline us like ugly street lamps in the setting. Not a ‘sorry’, just an arm that grabs your shoulder to get you out of the frame, as if you were a bug in his ad.
And there are many of you. Too many. People are crammed together, the slightest desire DE sit or breathe becomes an adventure. If you dreamed of an intimate experience with the sea, you will especially live a good time... with the armpit of a stranger.
As for snorkeling... How to say... Imagine 90 people (+ the other companies DE cata), in the water standing on a rope pulled between 2 catamarans. You probably don't think the fish will come. Why would the fish go where it has DE dozens DE catamarans and hundreds of tourists with vests on top of each other. Ridiculous... Then, the mistletoe DE will press you all along to see 3 miserable statues put here by tourist agencies 2 years ago. Very natural these statues crossing their fingers... WOW! DE mass tourism to its climax.
The island EN itself, we stay 2h30 EN knowing that you will have to reserve time for lunch. Overtourism and disappointment will be there. Despite its beaches DE fine sand and its turquoise water on only 5 meters DE beach, (because the algae are just set aside for your little pleasure, because EN reality they are just moved for you), the Isla Mujeres has some nice shops and glaciers to enjoy DE these palm trees.
EN summary: if you want to go to Isla Mujeres, take the ferry on your own. If you want to take a snorkeling tour, take a tour exclusively for this. To want to do everything finally you do nothing. Very disappointing.
Anyway. A huge masquerade. A tourist factory disguised EN nature outing. A very well-honed bad joke. Everything is optimized to maximize profits, absolutely nothing is thought to offer you a real experience.
I'm not demanding. Just disappointed. Deeply. And the sea deserves better.
