This coffee course invites participants to explore the art of roasting, grinding, and filtering coffee for home enjoyment. Coffee enthusiasts understand the myriad ways to prepare and savor this beloved beverage, but this course will concentrate on the techniques of roasting, grinding, and filtering.
Coffee has played a significant role in the culture and history of numerous countries, including Mexico and the ancient Mayan civilizations.
Each attendee will receive a portion of green coffee beans. These beans are essential for the roasting process, during which they transform into their familiar brown hue and develop the flavors and aromas characteristic of roasted coffee. Using specialized tools, participants will roast their own coffee and learn about the significance of roasting.
The course will also cover coffee grinding, from the process of grinding the beans to selecting the grind’s coarseness to achieve the perfect flavor. Finally, participants will delve into one of the various filtering methods, the drip filter, to prepare their coffee.

Must do! So much fun! - So much fun! I learned so much about coffee and its process and Alex was an awesome host and instructor! The hour flew by and ended with a delicious cup of coffee. Definitely can’t wait to book another class with him.

Alex Is Awesome - This entire experience was amazing and very intimate. My partner and I learned so much about Mexican coffee from Alex and had a great time roasting and preparing our own coffee. Alex clearly loves what he does and it shows in the work he puts in but also his customer service. I felt wrapped in the Mexican culture. Along with the coffee class he also offers a tortilla making class, which everyone should try. Go see Alex and have a great time !

Incredible experience! - Alex was amazing!! He not only taught us how to roast coffee but walked us through the flavor notes and brewing as well. He also gave us additional advice for our time in Cancun. He was super friendly and hospitable. 10/10 would recommend.

Alex is the Best! - Alex is a great host and instructor! We learned a bit of coffee history in Mexico and then Alex guided us through a hands-on experience of roasting coffee and grinding it in a lava stone grinder. The coffee we made was delicious and the experience was one-of-a-kind. I highly recommend this tour.

Best Cancún Experience - This class was so much fun!! My partner and I happened across this class and it was one of the best decisions we have ever made.
We arrived to a cute welcome sign in an adorable outdoor area all set up for us. Our host Alex was waiting at the doorway for us the moment we got out of our Uber to ensure we found the place okay. He was so knowledgeable and truly made the experience amazing. He taught us about coffee and showed us how to roast and make an absolutely delicious cup of coffee.
We had so much fun we decided to stay and do a tortilla class with him which was also amazing.
Overall you cannot go wrong with this experience, so much more fun than the big tours and classes.

Coffee and culture! - We enjoyed learning about the Mayan history and culture surrounding coffee while brewing it in such an intimate way! Alex wonderfully explained everything to us and led us through the process of brewing coffee - from experiencing coffee beans in their raw form to roasting, grinding, and preparing. It was a wonderful experience all around! Afterwards, he even gave us suggestions of other activities to do in the area. Highly recommend this class!

GREAT AUTHENTIC ACTIVITY - Alex was exceptionnal! We learned a lot about the coffee, where it's from, the processus of torrefaction. You get to cook the coffee then grand it a traditionnal way. I feel like I really learn something great! We drink coffee everyday without knowing a thing about it.
It was refreshing and funny, if you like coffee, simple close activities and great people you should book this activity, and his tortillas making course too!!

thanks alex you are very nice - this course was something incredible on my vacation in cancun i learned how to roast and grind in a very particular artisan mill, it was very fun spending time with alex because he is very professional and has a lot of joy and positive energy he is very communicative and made me feel Safe and calm, I did not know much about coffee but now Alex aroused the interest that I may have in continuing to learn about coffee.
