Chichen Itza, Cenote & Valladolid ⭐ - If you're thinking about booking this, and you have 12 hours to dedicate, go for it! At such a great price, you'd be silly not to! We took our two kids, 7 & 10. The tour departs from Cancun but we were staying in Tulum. For $10USD/pp a separate shuttle picked us up early and took us to a rendezvous where we boarded the bus. There were two shuttles collecting non-local passengers, so it wasn't too crowded. The bus was very comfortable, with plenty of room, air conditioning, and a very clean bathroom. Our guide was Carmen and she was warm and kind, with a great sense of humor and so much knowledge regarding all three destinations. At Chichen Itza, she guided us through the ruins and we learned so much, it was absolutely incredible. She has a soft voice so stick close to her if you're not going off on your own. She also left us plenty of time for photos at each stop. Chichen Itza was breathtaking, I cannot recommend it enough. The cenote was indescribable, truly a magical experience. We met with a shaman who blessed us, bought some beautiful souvenirs, and then swam in a cenote so beautiful that I cannot put it to words. The buffet lunch was perfect and there was so much to do, and tons of strategic photo ops. Valladolid was authentic and charming, I wish we had more time there. The market in the town square was the perfect way to end the day, and Carmen told us where we found the most delicious ice cream. This was a truly incredible, memorable and once in a lifetime excisions. Our family will remember it forever. Thank you so much Carmen for an unforgettable day, and to our driver Lorenzo for keeping us alive and rolling. 👏🏼 My tips: 1) the tour is 12 hours but if you're staying outside of Cancun, it could take longer. We opted for the 5:00AM tour, leaving Tulum at 4:30AM and getting back at 8:30PM. That being said, the bus is very comfortable and you can sleep easily. 2) Bring A LOT of water. Chichen Itza is so hot and dry with very little shade. We survived it but had to take frequent breaks with the kids, it was easily still worth it and there is concession at the front gate. Be prepared for extreme heat and direct sun. Again, it's 100% worth it. 3) Bring cash! You can shop at Chichen Itza, where the vendors will bargain, as well there is a gift shop at the cenote (highly recommend supporting them by purchasing), and again at Valladolid, where the market vendors only accept cash, but there are also storefronts that take cards. 4) Extra fees - Amigo tours is forthcoming that there are some extra fees (about $90USD for 4 of us) to cover your Chichen Itza tax, and your locker/life vest rental at the cenote. Pay these online ahead of time, and make sure you read all the emails/communication they send you. 5) if you're not sure about something, text them! I messaged them on Whatsapp with some confusion regarding our shuttle and they got back to me promptly and we're so helpful! If you're looking for a tour to Chichen Itza, book this one!

Wonderful trip, just pack snacks and water - The day was wonderful. So many wonderful things to see. It is a very long day. We had snacks on us but not enough. And bringing water is a must. We all loved the cenote and the ruins were quite a sight. We enjoyed it all.

Isaac and Richard - Best Amigo Team - My friend and I enjoyed the tour very much with Isaac (guide) and Richard (driver). What I loved about our tour was Isaac. His passion to share his Mayan heritage and his in-depth knowledge of the history and culture made the tour very special. His humble confidence and wit comes through his personality, which made him personable. Richard drove with gentleness and safety. Both were very kind and welcoming. The team are highly recommended. Please tip them because the group is with them 12 hours and protecting and maximizing the day for you. We left at 5am. Was perfect because Chichen Itza can get very hot. The cenote in this particular tour was shallow. The one I went to 10 years ago was very deep and open inside. If you are looking for a deeper, more open one, just a note for expectations - this one is better for kids, elders, and people who prefer to wade in the water.

Experience of a Couple - My wife and I took the 5:00 AM tour, and our pick-up arrived at 4:40 AM as we were the first ones on the list. However, the bus spent nearly 1.5 hours picking up other guests from various hotels in the zone, which made for a slow start. Overall, the tour was well-organized, and our guide was very knowledgeable about Mayan history and culture. While the detailed explanations were informative, they left us with only about 30 minutes to explore Chichen Itza, which felt quite rushed. Lunch at Cenote Chichikan was decent, though nothing exceptional. We also had a brief stop in Valladolid but only got about 20 minutes there - definitely not enough time. An hour would have been ideal to properly experience the town. We arrived back at our hotel around 5:00 PM, and in hindsight, we were glad we chose the 5:00 AM tour instead of the 8:00 AM option. It gave us time to unwind and enjoy a relaxed dinner after a long but enriching day. Would recommend this tour, but be prepared for some time constraints at each stop!

Convoluted itinerary - Unhelpful guide - This was supposed to be both a Spanish/English tour. The guide mostly spoke Spanish sprinkling a few English words in-between and expected us to follow along. The itinerary was not clear but the tour description hinted and we expected to first visit Chichén Itzá followed by Xenote/lunch and Valladolid on the way back. Instead the first stop was a tourist trap which wasted time on selling trinkets and leaving no time for the main attractions later. Who wants to eat lunch 2 hours after breakfast? The tour guide also droned on for over 90 mins on the bus all of which could be summarized in 10 mins - time which we could have rested on vacation instead of listening to his lame jokes. Also at Chichén Itzá we had to retrieve something from the bus and Juam the tour guide was unhelpful saying its a rental bus and he does not have the phone number of the driver. Seriously??

Not excellent - bus was late and had to wait for a long time - Overall was good but when lunch is included why charge for simple water - doesn’t make any sense, shouldn’t water be the first thing that’s served, when you sit down to eat ! Also the lunch was so so
