Cool rafting trip - After a 40mns drive from the meeting point we reached the river. The whole rafting experience was great and our guide was really nice. In this season the rapids are not dangerous, though we fell in the water a couple of times. The scenery is beautiful too.

So much fun!! - If you are looking for a fun rafting trip-look no further and book with RCR rafting! The location is so easy and convenient ! Transportation is provided to and from the river. Staff and guides were great! Our guide, Oscar was so much fun and made the experience even better!! The river was a little low, but we still got to experience several short rapids, in between enjoying the beautiful scenery along the river. We had a great day!! Thank you , Oscar and RCR rafting!

Great trip - Father Son trip, water was a little low but that was fun because we bounced into a lot of rocks but it was a lot of fun; we even dumped on the class four rapid! Also our guide Sam was AMAZING, we saw monkeys, iguanas, ant eaters, snakes, and porcupines.

Tenorio Rafting and our boat pilot Mario are great!!! - We loved our day river rafting on the Tenorio River with our spectacular boat pilot Mario. Mario made our great rafting trip into a marvelous experience! Mario grew up in the area, spoke perfect English, and knew all about the trees, plants, animals, fish and bugs. Mario has a very playful personality and played off the other guides in their boats. We were laughing all day! Wait until you see Mario's special Trick! We cannot recommend this trip with this group highly enough!

Our Guide could speak to the Howler Monkeys! - This was the nicest FLOAT ever - No real rapids but a few exciting little areas of rock and ripple - Perfect for families or people like us who just wanted to enjoy the day! We think Alec (Alex?) was our guide and he was WONDERFUL!! We saw so much wildlife - and He can really call the Howlers! We have incredible video! Lots of crocodiles - and Jesus Christ Lizards and Birds Birds! Lunch is an added bonus - really good food and nice staff! WELL worth every penny!

Great rafting trip - eat the chicken - Great rafting trip. Lalo and Gin (pronounced HEEN) guided our two rafts and each was very entertaining and knowledgeable about the ecology and the environment. Safety was stressed, but they also were fun to chat with and mess with during more gentle parts of the river. Meal afterward was delicious. I highly recommend the chicken . . . was one of the best meals we had in Costa Rica.

Underwhelmed - Advertised as white water with Class III/IV rapids and 30 mins to put in and “a little less than an hour away” upon return. Legitimately one class 3 at beginning, another 2/3 down the trip and then the “12 foot drop” 5 mins from the end. The rest is a float trip, especially in the dry season. Constantly caught on rocks. The good: -Guide Felipe was kind, fun, entertaining, knowledgeable and pointed out nature points and wildlife -Other staff very kind and helpful when one of our group got motion sick on the way back -safe -meal upon return was hot, tasty Not so good: -2 hours of driving for 2 hours of mediocre river rafting when advertised as class 3/4 rapids. -90 mins of that time hours you’re in the back of an open air vehicle on a bumpy and very dusty and winding road - expensive for minimal white water. If you’re expecting 2 hours of white knuckle, white water, adrenaline and excitement- then this is not that trip. Suggestions: -go during rainy season for perhaps a few more rapids -don’t go if you get motion sick. The ride back to RCR is pretty rough To RCR- consider noting river and rapid changes with the seasons so people are well informed with their decision to raft.
