  • This tour is not recommended for young children: The Wildlife Tour is typically geared more towards adults, providing educational commentary along the way. While wildlife sightings are frequent, the experience differs significantly from a zoo visit. Due to the unpredictable nature of wild animals, sightings occur intermittently during the 3-hour tour and vary from day to day. Based on our observations, young children often become restless as there are no scheduled stops on this vehicle-based tour. Therefore, we recommend a minimum age of 5 years. Although not recommended, children and infants under 5 years old are welcome, provided a seat is purchased for them at the child rate (all passengers regardless of age are required to be allocated a seat on the bus). For those bringing infants, we recommend bringing a baby carrier which can be secured with the provided seat belts on our buses.

Family fun - Amazing experience for the whole family. Our young children (5 and 8) weren’t always entertained by the driving from spot to spot, but loved seeing all the animals. Massive Elk, Bears, bald eagles, osprey, white tailed deer with fauns were all seen. Most of the routes we had driven already heading to hikes, but our guide Chloe was amazing to point out animals like the eagles and bear which we would have otherwise missed. She knew where to wait at all the right spots! Didn’t get time to see Moose, as we spent a bit too much time taking pics of the bears and the massive male elk, but still totally worth it! Also a great idea if you have an overcast/rainy day and need an activity which is what we did!

Great experience - Great tour. Didn't see any bears, but our tour guide Sam was so knowledgeable, friendly and helpful! We did see some gorgeous Elk males, an Osprey and a Bald Eagle. Sam taught us so much about the wildlife and environment of Jasper. Truly a great experience. We drove part of the rout the next day, and see, Sam? We caught this hoary marmot eating! They do do it, just not when you are watching ;)

A must for anyone visiting Jasper. - What a great way to spend a morning! We booked through Maligne tours as we had very little time in Jasper and we wanted to see as much as we could. The company did not disappoint! Our guide, Sam, took us to some really cool locations which were off the beaten track. He was absolutely fantastic and is obviously really knowledgable and passionate about what he does, he used the short time available to share his knowledge of both the flora and fauna of Jasper as well as some history of the area which left us all feeling a lot more educated. The tour itself was awesome, we managed to see some massive elk as well as a bald eagle and an osprey. All in all it was a great morning and one that I would recommend to anyone visiting the area! Thanks again Sam!

Amazing experience - I went on the morning wildlife tour whilst my husband & friends went on the white water rafting trip. My wildlife trip was so good. The guide, sorry don't remember his name - an older chap was so informative. Wish I could have recorded what he said & had it to listen to again as it was so interesting. We managed to see two lots of bears - a couple of black bears & then a mother grizzly with her two cubs. Also saw a male elk - what a stunning animal he was. My husband & friends really enjoyed their water water rafting trip too.

Memories that we’ll retain for ever - A truly magical experience that we’ll remember for ever. Towards the end of our tour we saw a female Grizzly and her 2 cubs and we watched them for about 20 mins. It was beautiful and Jake was the perfect host, knowledgeable, humorous with the ongoing tenacity to locate the animals for us. Wonderful!!

Enjoyable morning, lovely guide - A very pleasant morning being driven around Jasper in a comfortable warm bus(it was freezing)Ben a young English man was lovely and very interesting to listen to.He does a demonstration showing us elk and moose antlers.Didnt realise they would be so heavy. We only say 2 elk,a bald tried eagle and some mountain goats but we enjoyed the drive around the beautiful Jasper country side.We appreciated the breakfast of yummy muffins and tea/coffee by a picturesque running stream. It is an early start 6.30am but we enjoyed the morning, thank you

Wonderful!! Great for animal enthusiasts! - An INCREDIBLE day!! Our tour guide, Ross, was wonderful and very knowledgeable. We saw at least six bears (including a grizzly!), many elk, a bald eagle, some deer, and a pack of bighorn sheep. Truly a must-do for anyone interested in the wildlife in the area. Felt very safe the whole time - the vehicle is an air-conditioned/ heated closed bus - and Ross is kind enough to incorporate times to be outside of the vehicle, other educational material such as paw prints & horns, and a bathroom break. We went on a sunny day in early June and it was all around a 10/10 experience.

Enjoyable tour - Seeing a “king” elk with a massive head rack was awesome. Our guide Sam was very knowledgeable about the area wildlife. Wish the tour started earlier. By the time all the pickups were made it was a bit late for an advertised 8:30 am tour start. Finished after 12 noon.

Not the wildlife tour we expected - Very touristic. Not worth the money. The guide was motivated but the tour simply started too late for a morning wildlife tour.
