Educational. Worth it. - Intellectual history of the west; three questions to be answered: 1. How do we explain the ride of Western universities (and the rise of science) 2. How do we explain the parliamentary system? 3. What is cambridge's role in abolition of slavery Our guide, Ian, is so knowledgeable and can rattle off facts and names off the top of his head. He's extremely entertaining too. Worth every single penny.

Excellent walking tour - Enjoyed the walking tour with Ian which gave the history of how universities began and details of specific Cambridge Colleges. Ian was very amiable and knowledgeable. The tour was just the right length and level of information. Thanks.

Absolutely the best way to take in Cambridge the tour guide should have his own history TV show! - We had 1 day in Cambridge and this tour was absolutely the best way to take in all the famous sights. The tour guide was amazing, an alumni of the university he was extremely knowledgeable about the history of Cambridge, I felt like I learnt more about history in 2 hours with this guide than I did during my entire school education 😀. Group size was OK (about 12 I think), any bigger would have been difficult to hear and navigate the narrow pavements en route.

Worth every penny & is an absolute must when visiting Cambridge as a tourist - Ian Cooper took us on an absolutely facinating tour of the City and university. Ian is a gem of a tour guide, he kept us hooked in to every word as he humbly wove wit & wisdom into the intriguing history of Cambridge. We left feeling inspired and spoke about it all the way home. Thank you Ian & Christian Heritage.

Disappointing - Not very good unfortunately. Too much history of the aristocracy (some of which was inaccurate), very waffly, no college entrance because group size was over 10.
