Fantastic! - Fab trip! We went in late May, no sun, very foggy. Organised very well. Got a taxi from Miraflores to the meeting point. The organisor was stood outside a cafe and ushered is in. Offered us free coffee, tea or bottle water. Some street sellers tried to sell us waterproof phone case and goggles. Goggles not needed but the case was great to allow us take photos in the water. Cost 10 sols (£2). You need to pay an additional 11 sol each as a 'conservation' fee so take cash with you. We took a small rucksack which we left on the boat whilst swimming. For some reason I expected a speedy ride and sea sickness but no, it was fairly slow and calm all the way. I did take some sea sick tablets beforehand after reading some reviews. Rodrigue was funny and quite informative, went past some islands for viewing, quite interesting. Then to the seal lion island. Wow!! Hundreds! We were given shorty wetsuits and life jackets, jumped in to 16 degree water. V cold at first but soon forget it when the seals start coming towards you! They started a couple of metres away, you won't be and to pat them, they are wild after all. Totally safe though. 20 mins max in water which actually was about right. Didn't get the terrible smell that others mention, maybe because it was May and not hot. Such an exciting thing to do! All in all, a 2hr trip with the 20 mins swimming with seals making it worth every penny!

Amazing number of sea lions - Very nice experience, way better than the Ballestos in my opinion. At ballestos we only saw 1 sea lion but here we saw like hundreds, and this was in the supposed low season in May. Guide was knowledgeable and showed us interesting things. We got a sea sick due to the turbulent currents but they were very kind to help.

Excellent - Great trip! Loved seeing penguins and swimming with sea lions. The waves were rocky, so be cautious if prone to motion sickness

Fantastic time watching birds, penguins and sea lions - We did this trip on May 13th with my wife and daughter and I would definitely recommend this for animal lovers and people looking for a unique experience. Starting by the not so good, the organization from Mar Adentro was not so great IMO, but specially at the start of the day (waited 45mn in a busy restaurant with no clear direction, they forgot to check us in, they told us that we had to pay the reserve entrance fees once everyone was sit and waiting in the boat). Add to that a very foggy weather, few lame jokes, and I started to feel a tourist trap. I was wrong. As we got closer to the different islands, we started to see various birds colonies (pelican, inka tern, cormoran, penguin, Peruvian booby) and the scenery of the islands and learning about their history made this already very enjoyable. But the sea lion colony was something else. Expect hundreds of sea lions, very playful as the boat get closer. Watching them from the boat was already a treat, but swimming close to them was an incredible experience. Yes the water is cold (16C), but totally manageable for 20mn with a wet suit. You are among wild animals, they may take a nip or try to scare you if you get to close to their territory, but they will play around you if you stay at the right distance and Diego was keeping an eye on the group and on the sea lions all the time. Really something unique. Even my wife who stayed on the boat loved it. If you have a GoPro or similar, you will get memorable pictures and videos. We did not came to Oeri for this, but it was for sure one of our highlights.

A magical highlight of our trip - Seeing the sea lions for the first time was unreal. We did not expect to see that many and they stayed so close to us. Then, getting to swim with them, even though it was so cold, we didn’t care. Being around them was so magical and they were so curious about us. Dove under and over our legs, came right up to you and just so sweet to watch. The boat ride I must say is very choppy and rocky due to the tide/rip/currents out that way and so a few of us got the queezies so be prepared for that. But was totally worth it to see those beautiful creatures

Amazing experience - Really amazing experience. Better than we expected. So many cool birds including vultures and penguins. The sea lions were amazing and friendly. The water was cold at first but everyone quickly got used to it and it was plenty comfortable with the wet suits on.

LOVED IT - It was an amazing and unforgettable experience! If you're prone to sea sickness, be prepared for a bit of choppiness on the ride out, but it was well worth it in my opinion for the opportunity to swim with sea lions!

Swimming with Sea Lions - Very nice experience! The sea lions are getting very close! Remember to put on your swimsuit before the tour (if you didn't, as was my case, there is a place to change on the boat).
