- Pachacamac - We will visit the archaeological site of Pachacamac. It was the most important religious sanctuary in this region. It is placed on the right riverbank of Lurin River and occupies an area of 200 hectares.\n\nThe sanctuary was built during the influence of the Wari civilization and was in use during the Inca Empire until the time when the Spaniards looted the site and destroy the wooden idol of Pachacamac.\nWe will walk to visit the different sections of the complex such as: the Accllahuasi or the temple of the Moon, the Plaza of the Pilgrims and the temple of the Sun.

An impressive archeological complex - Good communication regarding pickup, and we were met from the cruise terminal shuttle bus. Our guide kept us engaged and informed on the hour’s journey to the archeological site, where we first visited the useful and informative museum. The site itself was vast, and we mostly moved between the different areas in the minibus. Finally we parked up and climbed to the highest point of the complex, the Temple of the Sun. Overall a very worthwhile experience.

Good ruin tour! - Great tour! Rosario was very knowledgeable and constantly watching out for us all. My only complaint would be the amount of time we waited to get entry tickets, but I don't think this is any fault of the tour operator. Thank you!
