Must try for beginners! - This was our first time doing a hunt and we had a great time making amazing memories! Host is amazing and helpful as well! Would definitely recommend to everyone 🙌

10/10 - My girlfriend Sarah and I were looking for a fun activity to do during our weekend in Joshua Tree National Park. Having spent the last two days exploring the wilderness, we wanted to do something challenging and fun. That's when we came across Tara's Scavenger Hunt.
Though it was hosted remotely on WhatsApp, Tara did a fantastic job giving us personalized clues and encouraging us along the way. I have to admit, some of the riddles had me stumped for a good while! But working together and talking to the other participants we met was a blast. Sarah even wrote a clue for another group, showing her creative side.
The three hours we spent solving puzzles and seeking out landmarks flew by. By the end, we felt like we'd learned as much about Joshua Tree's history and local culture as on a guided tour. It really brought Sarah and I closer together to work as a team. We left looking forward to to try Tara's next scavenger hunt when we visit Palm Springs - can't wait for the next hunt!

Fun active adventure - This was a really fun active adventure for my family and definitely a new way to explore a hiking trail and learn about a new place!
Be aware you will get what you put into it.
As Tara says it is not a guided hiking tour
So be sure you want a fun game instead of a guide leading you on a tour.
We loved it though!
We got so many fun photos and videos to share with the older ones back home.

Creative Soul Scavenger (Hidden Valley, Joshua Tree) Hunt was a lot of fun! Great for family fun! - This was one of the best scavenger hunts we have been on. Tara called the day of and walked us through the hunt. This hunt did not use GPS, and there was no actual "treasure" to find and no treasure map, but we found gold with this hunt. The one mile loop had fun twists and turns and the hunt for clues was challenging enough to be fun, but not so challenging that it was frustrating. We had a lot of fun and met some interesting people along the way. I highly recommend this hunt to everyone. Try something new with your family. It is a lot of fun.

Exploring Joshua Tree while in a Scavenger Hunt! Lots of fun!!!! - What fun! We had a great time looking for clues and exploring Joshua Tree's Hidden Valley. Tara, the game leader called us and walked us through what we could expect and sent us the clues. We walked the 1-mile loop exploring the valley and finding the clues. We did not use GPS or find actual treasure, but instead found answers to the clues. We are in our 60's and had a great time. I HIGHLY recommend this event!!!! No dogs on the trail so we left our dog with the doggy daycare at Joshua Tree Pet Resort.

Fun activity to do, even with young kids - We did the scavenger hunt with our 2 kids (8 and 3 years old) and had so much fun!
It’s a great activity to do as a family, it keeps the kids entertained and it is a fun way to discover Joshua Tree National Park.

The MN and CO Boomers - We had a great time with this scavenger hunt and our visit to Hidden Valley. Tara was very personable and informative and her search ideas were very creative. We had young children in our group and the hunt really encouraged them to look at everything in the park more creatively and with an eagerness to learn. And it was fun!
One suggestion- especially for younger kids it would be fun to have some sort of “prize” at the end….even just a pdf for us to print of a certificate of completion or something like that. But it was a great experience and we’re glad we did it!

Incredibly unique, memorable experience! - We had a terrific time as a family on this adventure! Our little crew of 7 (ages 5 to 42) broke into two “teams” and each hunted for the clues separately. Our big kids (11 and 13) had the best time! Our 8 year old enjoyed it too, although she couldn’t move as fast with the reading/interpreting of the clues, and our little guys (age 5) just liked being silly! Tara was incredibly engaged!!! She sent us all the details and did a live briefing with us beforehand, and then we did the hunt on our own since there’s no reception in the park. Then she was terrific as we “submitted” our answers… so much encouragement and back-and-forth. It was a really neat experience… much better than just randomly hiking through the park. So glad we did it! It really made our whole family trip super unique.

Disappointed - Probably one of the worst viator trips we've ever had couldn't even found the first clue and all the audio and videos we were supposed to take seemed ridiculous.
