Had a Great Time! - Our tour guide was friendly, authentic, and informative. She took us to a great intimate rooftop bar, a massive street party, and a salsa club. We were introduced to new types of alcohol we'd never had before and thoroughly enjoyed the conversation.

Fantastic introduction to Cali - Fantastic introduction to the city. The guides were enthusiastic and fun. I had a fantastic night discovering the city and some bars before settling in a salsa dance club where the guides patiently taught me the moves. I didnt dance well but but i had alot of fun, the guides set me me up with dance partners in an attempt to help me get out of my comfort zone but i ended up dancing with the guides most of the night because that was comfortable for me. They also stayed with me until the end to ensure i got home safe. Truly excellent night.

A great experience - highly recommended - The tour was led by Ana who was very friendly, knowledgeable and informative. Ana doesn’t speak too much English which was good because I wanted to practice my Spanish and I had asked for the Spanish tour. This was a Friday evening. We enjoyed some drinks and sampled some local snacks in an historic bar in the old San Antonio district below the Iglesia de San Antonio church where we met. We then walked to a downtown area where there was a street party with everyone enjoying the music, and made our way to La Curva del Boulevard, a bar which spills out and takes over the street. The energy there was fantastic- everyone spontaneously dancing to the salsa music, with many contributing to it with their own instruments, and having a great time. Chairs and beers were produced by the staff with whom Ana and the tour obviously have a good relationship. The salsa music was recorded but with the addition of the cow bells and the scrape of guiros you wouldn’t have known. The crowd was mostly Colombians and it was a truly authentic and wonderful experience with everyone very friendly - I was offered the cow bell to play - and the salsa music incredible. We then made our way to a pre-arranged taxi and headed to la Caldera del Diablo, a salsa club. The atmosphere was again fantastic, the music terrific and the level of salsa dancing amazing. It was clear that Caleanos are definitely salsa aficionados. We had a reserved table and good service for drinks. The Caleanos there were couples and friends out to dance and again the dancing was mesmerizing - several couples could have been professional instructors anywhere else. They were there for the love of dancing salsa and some of the men could be seen courteously asking women to dance, anxious to show their dancing skill and style. It had none of the atmosphere of a pick up bar, and was refreshingly genuine, with everyone friendly and non-judgmental (in the case of my dancing) We left la Caldera del Diablo just after 1 am, with Ana arranging an Uber ride back to my nearby hotel and kindly phoning and WhatsApping to make sure I got back safely. It was such a great evening and fun experience I booked it with Ana for the next night - Saturday - and again it was fantastic, including this time a live band at La Curva. I would most highly recommend it whether you are a salsa aficionado or not!

The absolute BEST!!!! - Although I traveled alone, I made so much friends and experienced so much fun and attention along the way in my 6days vacations in Cali. Annie was one of the most significant because of so many reasons. Not only was she attentive to my arrival at my first stop, knowing I was on my own but she also made sure I got back safe to my Hostal. In addition that night I was celebrating my birthday and she made sure I was celebrated beyond my expectations. If you visit Cali this is a MUST tour. Mark my words....

Salsa Bar Tour Outing - Absolutely a beautiful way to take in a bit of Cali at night, see some of the street life, visit the salsa bars that tourists may not know about and spend it with an absolutely wonderful group of people. I was very happy that I took a chance and booked this as I am not usually the most 'adventuresome' type. Highly recommended!

Amazing! - My husband and I are happy we did this tour, Ana and Aura are amazing guides, we love the experience of dancing salsa in the street, super safe and nice to meet new people in the group, the night was too short for this great experience. We will definitely do the tour again on our next visit to Cali... Thank you very much!

Salsa bar tour - We only went to one salsa bar not three as advertised. We had to order walk more than told to first bar. We ordered drinks but only the tour guide got a beer which she drank in front of us while we waited for our drinks. Finally I asked the guide to see what happened to our drinks. She inquired and they finally came. When it came time to pay my wife paid for ours and two others on the group. The guide then collected from them as well: double pay. The group of five traveled from place to place by two Ubers. Before she could order the second Uber the first one had to reach its destination.. Those in the first Uber had to wait not seated in the designated bar but on the narrow sidewalk with cars whizzing by. It seemed we waited 15 mins or more before the second Uber arrived. Overall this was a borderline scam. I would not recommend this tour to anyone. Two gentlemen in the group were visibly angry and were threatening to contest the credit card charge. The guide had very little insight into the feelings of the group or to what is proper etiquette for anyone in her position.

PLEASE AVOID THIS TOUR, DESERVES 0 STARS - The 100% rating on this tour is entirely false and 100% undeserved. Our tour guide Laura was very unorganized, she took us to a “salsa bar” with the beer included and had us order food. Rather than having individual receipts for each person that ordered, she had it all on one receipt and was incompetent (perhaps purposely) at splitting the bill appropriately. Another tour guest paid for us, and yet the tour guide insisted that we owed her money (perhaps because we were American and she had asked us our professions beforehand). When we got to the first bar, she was the first person to receive a beer, which we all found very rude especially since there was a 79 year old man with us (and we had to wait 20 minutes for drinks) that was doing his best to keep up with the tour, but was not offered any food or drink first. She then proceeded to finish the other guests wine while she was “handling” splitting payment, and she clearly was feeling the alcohol that she was drinking. She did not know how to accommodate the 79 year old man, and seemed very uninterested in doing so. By the end of the first bar all of us ended up paying for the beer that was allegedly included. She then would split up the group, place us in random Ubers to take us to the next place, the Uber would drop us off at a random street, and we had to wait for her to show up. Why did we pay the tour 1.5 million pesos between all of us to have them handle our transport with incompetence? She then would call us with an irritated tone (we were not comfortable taking out our phone in a very crowded street) to tell her where we were waiting for her, why didnt she know how to handle this effectively? Moreover, the historical information we received was the bare minimum if that. We understand that English is not her first language however plenty of us also spoke Spanish and she could have figured out a way to make sure the communication was clear and effective and it wasn’t. Also, when entering the last place, we were unclear on if we had to pay a cover charge, and was told that the beverage was free and included, yet we still had to pay $2000 pesos each (for what we have no idea). As Americans we certainly get taken advantage of, yes $2000 pesos is not much however there was a Colombian woman on the tour with us, and she was rudely confronted that she owed the tour guide 7k pesos (or 30k pesos depending on whatever she felt like saying) which is ridiculous because we can imagine that it was much more difficult for this woman to come up with the almost 200,000k for the tour, to then have the tour guide haggle her for more money due to her own incompetence and handling the bill. Naturally by the last place all of us on the tour agreed that we felt like we were being taken advantage of, and we tried to make the best of it amongst ourselves, the Colombian woman on the tour was nice enough to teach us how to dance salsa, which the tour guide didn’t do until she saw that the tour guest was doing it first. While at this bar, Laura engaged minimally with us and was on her phone giving off the impression she was uninterested in our tour. Laura then proceeded to take pictures and videos of us as the last place without consent to make it seem as though everything was fine, yet we were all at the time very disappointed and frustrated. We were all naturally cordial but that is not the same as enjoying ourselves. She and the tour organizer then reported someone else’s WhatsApp from the tour because they were explaining clearly, and respectfully that they felt scammed and wanted a refund. The amount of disrespect and incompetence from this tour was WILD. DO NOT DO THIS IT IS A SCAM! We heard from a much better tour that they have also heard complaints about the salsa tour.
