The perfect day away from urban Cali - Alejandro, our guide, is extremely friendly, well informed, committed to his community's well-being, and persistent in making sure everyone is able to understand, feels comfortable, and respects the environment. The trek was invigorating and fun. We saw beautiful fauna and flora -- especially butterflies! The lunch was scrumptious. The whole tour came off smoothly, from coordination and pick up to drop off. The length was just right for us, as we wanted to get out of the city, see the mountainous forest (including old growth!) but hadn't planned such a trip in advance and did not have gear necessary for something more strenuous.

Serenity.... - I don't know where to begin...This was absolutely an amazing experience. I thought I've been hiking until now :). Juan was a wonderful guide with great knowledge of Cali's mountains and waterfall. The views were breathtaking, the air was clean and the energy was electric. Once we got to the waterfalls it was well worth the hike! I was transformed and I will definitely return. I highly recommend tours with Valley Adventours as they were fantasic, professional, knowledable, friendly and hospitaliable.

Found my level of activity - We had a vigorous muddy hike up the mountain with an elevation gain of about 800 feet. Had to wade in the rivers to see two amazing waterfalls. I kept my shoes on rather than changing in and out of water shoes multiple times, ymmv. Guide Maria Clara indulged my lousy Spanish and punctuated our travels with expert observations of the birds and some of the plant life. Mosquitoes mercifully were not in evidence or else my repellent was perfect. When we descended, the mud had dried and it was not quite as slippery as I’d feared. We had a wonderful Colombian lunch of sancocho when we finished.

Good opportunity to get in touch with nature - Magnificent experience. The guide, Ernesto, is very attentive. He explains many things to you during the tour, about the place, the plants, etc. The Farallones are beautiful. The river and waterfalls, clean and very good for a dip. The path is not difficult and it is excellent exercise. Includes lunch with traditional Colombian food. Highly recommended

Highly recommended!! - We were so close to the Farallones de Cali, we enjoyed the mountains' view, its beautiful forests and its spectacular nature. We listened to the falls as we ascended, we took pictures at several puddles, and the natural pools were just amazing. This was not only an unforgettable hike because of its views and how incredible this place was. What made this experience so special were our guides. Julian was so friendly, funny and knowledgeable. if you decide to take this hike, take it with valley adventours, they are locals, they speak English perfectly and they definitely know what they are doing. Highly recommended!!

Wonderful, beautiful and peaceful! - This was a great tour - and the small group was just perfect! Our guide was really nice and we were able to take the hiking at our own pace as needed. Our guide even helped us with a walking stick, and some other supports. He was very knowledgeable about the region as he'd lived there his whole life. It was a somewhat relaxing walk - but through the waters - just make sure you have good shoes that you don't mind getting wet (or have a second pair to change into) - as you will be walking through the water/small currents!

Fantastic hiking experience - I had a wonderful time hiking with Valley Adventours. This was the second tour I did with them — they offer high-quality tours and are friendly and professional. This hike is somewhat challenging as it entails walking through a river (wear shoes with good grip, and which you don't mind getting muddy/wet!) but absolutely worth it, the views from the top were stunning. All the staff are amazing; Marcela was very helpful in organising the tour, our guide Julian was great (really fun and very knowledgeable), and the driver, Lino, was also lovely. Highly recommend!

Wonderful hike, totally recommended - I loved this tour, with Ernesto as an exceptional guide and truly breathtaking landscape and waterfalls. I recommend getting in the water even though it's cold, totally worth it. I also appreciate the prompt response and flexibility of the organizers. Please keep in mind you do have to walk and go up some steep parts -- if you are up to it you will love it. Lunch was tasty and very appreciated after all the effort :)

We were NOT in the Farallones - We were not in The Farallones but in a close-by private area. Please, do not be misleading with the information.
