- Castle Mountain - Situated in Banff National Park within the Canadian Rockies, Castle Mountain lies roughly midway between Banff and Lake Louise. Named in 1858 by James Hector for its castle-like appearance, it stands as a majestic landmark.
- Lake Louise - Nestled in Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada, Lake Louise is a stunning glacial lake. Named after Princess Louise Caroline Alberta, the fourth daughter of Queen Victoria, the lake’s turquoise hue is due to rock flour carried by glacial meltwater. Covering 0.8 km², it drains through the 3 km long Louise Creek into the Bow River.
- Moraine Lake - (Open from June 1 to Oct 14 only) The waters of Moraine Lake appear as if they have descended from the heavens into the Valley of the Ten Peaks. Surrounded by towering mountains, the lake’s deep blue surface is a testament to nature’s artistry. Boulders, seemingly placed by giants, form miniature mountains near the shore. Explore the trails that weave through the rocks and lead to alpine meadows and sparkling lakes.
- Lake Louise Visitor Information Centre - The village of Lake Louise, at an elevation of 1,661 m, is the highest mini town. Enjoy some leisure time here to have lunch, explore the shops, and visit the information center around the mini square. Recharge for the rest of the tour.
- Spiral Tunnels - Following a devastating avalanche in 1899 that obliterated the station at Rogers Pass, CP Rail’s chief engineer approved an ambitious project to resolve the issue permanently, after dismissing less costly proposals.
- Natural Bridge - The Natural Bridge is a remarkable rock formation spanning the Kicking Horse River west of Field. As the river descends through a canyon, it is joined by the Amiskwi River. Formed by the erosive power of water over a former waterfall, the Natural Bridge highlights water’s role in shaping landscapes. Softer rock beneath the hard limestone eroded faster, widening fissures until water flowed beneath the outcrop.
- Emerald Lake - Located in Yoho National Park, British Columbia, Canada, Emerald Lake is surrounded by the President Range mountains. Its vivid green color is due to powdered rock from glaciers, reflecting the blue-green spectrum of sunlight. The rock type and quantity in the water cause the color to vary by lake and season. Take a short walk around the lake to experience its unforgettable beauty.
- Hoodoos Trail - A hoodoo is a unique rock formation, where soft rock is protected by a harder layer that resists erosion. With the Bow River and towering mountains as a backdrop, this majestic viewpoint offers stunning views of these natural formations.
- Surprise Corner - Known for its breathtaking, unexpected views from Buffalo Street, Surprise Corner is perfect for photography and connecting to the local trail system.
