Highlights
  • Johnston Canyon - Johnston Creek originates north of Castle Mountain in a glacial valley southwest of Badger Pass and south of Pulsatilla Pass, at an elevation of 2,500 meters (8,200 ft). The creek flows southeast between Helena Ridge and the Sawback Range, and then south through a gorge known as Johnston Canyon.
As Johnston Creek approaches the Bow River, it flows through a large canyon formed by erosion over thousands of years. The creek has cut through the limestone rock to form sheer canyon walls, as well as waterfalls, tunnels, and pools.

A popular hiking trail follows the canyon and leads to a meadow within the Johnston Valley above the canyon. The first part of the trail consists of a constructed walkway with safety rails and bridges, while the last part of the trail is natural and more rugged. Within the meadow are the Ink Pots, which are six blue-green spring-fed pools.

ALEX is a wonderful tour guide, and BANFF is stunningly beautiful - Alex made the tour very comfortable and worthwhile for us. He was very friendly, answered all our questions, and was very flexible with our requested spontaneous stops - to view wildlife and grab a coffee at Tim's (of course!). The highlight of the trip was the Gondola ride up Sulphur Mountain, although the visits to the various Lakes were beautiful as well. Personally, I think your company is lucky to have Alex as a tour guide- he is very service oriented and did everything he could to keep us happy on our tour. Thanks for the memories of Banff!!

Excellent trip for tourists in time crunch - Peter, our driver and guide, was excellent. He’s a good driver who knows the area, the terrain, and the history of Banff. He was on time and flexible with customer requests.

Beautiful journey through the lesser-known attractions of Banff - Apparently we were the only 3 people who booked the tour for the day, so they upgraded us to a private tour in an SUV. Must say that it was a fabulous experience overall! Steve, our tour guide for the day was a very knowledgeable and humble person, who made our trip memorable by sharing his vast knowledge and experience, along with giving us youngsters some valuable life lessons on the way. We covered many places within a day like the Lower falls at Johnston Canyon, the Sulphur mountain Gondola including hike to the mountain top, the Bow falls, Surprise corner, Cascade of Time gardens and Vermilion lakes. The time provided at each viewpoint was good enough, but maybe they can increase the time provided for cascade gardens in the future. Overall it was an experience for the ages. 5/5 Totally recommended.

Our trip was fantastic.... - Our trip was fantastic. Our guide David was very knowledgeable, patient and courteous. He really made sure we took the best pictures from the best spots and checked out the major areas. Highly recommend him. The Banff gondolas were a fitting adventure added to an excellent tour.

It was ok. - It was ok. I thought we would be taken to more interesting places then we were. This was a very expensive tour for what you get. If you are going to spend that much money I would suggest rather doing your own thing and finding more interesting things to do. We basically got driven around to a few beaches and an old hotel to tour. The canyon was nice but exhausting. Overall we were disappointed, however our tour guide was nice and knew the area well.
