- Sharia Al Mu’izz Li-Din Allah - Muizz Street (Shariʻa al-Muizz li-Din Illah) also known as Al Moez Ldin Allah Al Fatimi Street in Islamic Cairo, Egypt is one of the oldest streets in Cairo, approximately one kilometer long. A United Nations study found it to have the greatest concentration of medieval architectural treasures in the Islamic world. The street (shariʻa in Arabic) is named for Al-Mu’izz li-Din Allah, the fourth caliph of the Fatimid dynasty. It stretches from Bab Al-Futuh in the north to Bab Zuweila in the south. Starting in 1997, the national government carried out extensive renovations to the historical buildings, modern buildings, paving, and sewerage to turn the street into an “open-air museum”. On April 24, 2008, Al-Muizz Street was rededicated as a pedestrian only zone between 8:00 am and 11:00 pm; cargo traffic will be allowed outside of these hours.

Fabulous half day in old Islamic Cairo - We had a wonderful half day tour exploring the old Islamic area of Cairo with Hamada who was very knowledgeable and lots of fun. We enjoyed our tea stop and lunch. We would recommend this tour. We went to the papyrus museum as an extra treat at the end of the tour.

A fabulous half day experience - Fabulous half day tour with Hamada as our guide. He is so knowledgeable, obliging and fun to be with. We really enjoyed exploring the historic part of Islamic Cairo and the Khan Ekhalili markets. Our tea stop was delightful and lunch delicious. At the end we went to the Royal Papyrus Museum which was fascinating.
A fantastic half day which we would highly recommend.

One of the best tours in Cairo! - One of the best tours we've been on. We booked to see the bazaar and Islamic part of the city. Rodiina could not do enough for us, very knowledgable and felt like a personalised tour. She made us feel comfortable and safe throughout and showed us parts of the city we otherwise wouldn't have gone too.

Great Tour of Old City Cairo - Hamada gave us an excellent tour of the old walled city in Cairo. He has great knowledge of the history of the country and ancient religion as whole and was able to answer all questions as well as add interesting additional context.
He is a very warm person and we enjoyed getting to know him. Bonus points he’s the best cellphone photographer we’ve ever had for a guide, he has a great eye for making a nice picture and even taught us multiple things about our phones cameras and how to use them we didn’t know. Who knew we were going to learn about old Cairo and gain a skill at the same time!

Great and Informative Old Cairo Tour - Our family had an excellent tour of Old town Cairo. Loved seeing the amazing architecture, mosques and the bustling alley’s of the Khan Khalili market. Our tour guide, Hamada, was very knowledgeable and took his time to explain the history of Islamic Old Town. Definitively recommend this tour to see this area of Cairo

not worth it - it’s not really a comprehensive tour of Islamic cairo. a lot of major landmarks are missed not worth it. you better off taking an Uber by yourself and doing a walk around of Khan El Khalili yourself because that you really do in this tour. and it is definitely not a half-day tour.
